i love that far right helmet in the topic pic on the front page.

I would definitely dig into my pocket for that if it was reasonably priced!

Too radical people are just worried about sledging and need to grow a pair

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

well its all speculative at the moment ???

it would depend what material you had the shell in as would be on a sliding scale from carbon fibre.....fibreglass.....plastic

well it depends in which model....... with a £50,000 investment in tooling for each plastic version of a helmet its not cheap to set up in plastic

got a few comments the first time I strode to the crease in an Ayrtek. Generally poor chirps (from my own teams mates in an interclub game) such as "cycle helmet" etc. Nobody laughs when they feel the weight...

Most of my guys asked how much after they feel it, and certainly a lower priced model would generate more sales.

Got a few look at his shiny helmet but after they felt the lightness etc they were impressed

thanks for answering tom.

personally id love one, i get the concept, i love the fact is easily customisable (somewhere i feel the market falls done massively when it comes to helmets), but, at the level i play i'd just get slated. like was suggested, maybe i just grow a pair and ou up with it, but i already get enough "all the gear no idea" comments.

will keep an eye on any developments

Will plastic versions (if made) be customiseable? Or stock maroon, blue, green etc?
