Sounds like a cracking day out.

Did Mike ask his standard questions about laminated bats or anything about buterfly stains?!!

What a long day just got in (after setting off at 6) lovers has covered most of it but pete has plenty of photo plus a couple of the budding bat makers rich and mark as he was allowed to take a few photos in the factory plus trotts bat was huge and light ,cnc was impressive plus the programming side was really good aswell as chatted to dr streaky about it ,Luna looks and feels very nice could be a future purchase plus all questions answered truthfully and constrictive criticism taken on board and seemed to be appreciated which is good plus had the net afterwards which was fun then a meal and chat then the long drive home with a slight detour

Great day out and very kind of the GM boys to open their doors to us "geeks" seeing the process behind their bat making was a very interesting insight into the way the big boys manufacture the sheer volume of bats but maintain a high level of quality control throughout the process to avoid "battery farming" bats!

I think i speak of behalf of everyone to say that it was a very entertaining day and everyone left alot more knowledgeable not only about GM but about the bat manufacturing process as a whole. Some of the boys got the chance to see just what skills were involved with the different processes and managed to devalue a few bats in doing so ;) lol

Would like to thank everyone at GM for having invited us all to slow the production of their day down :D and putting up with our quizzical questions throughout the duration of the tour.....keep up the good work!
