« on: October 26, 2010, 08:52:29 AM »

Can anyone recommend a helmet or grill for me as i wear glasses and fins it sometimes difficult to see.

Also, when i sweat it drips onto my glasses meaning i can't see all that well - any suggestions?

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

I'd recommend contact lenses. I tried wearing my glasses and found it a pain when playing cricket

Or perhaps even the shiv chanderpaul/chris gayle look with the wicked bandana?!or just ordinary bandana would do a better job than sweat band me thinks, especially if helmet is already a snug fit.

i'd look more like a pirate!

Nobody will see the bandanna if you get geared up in the dressing room... that is of course until you score your hundred and take off your helmet to celebrate :D

The great thing in hitting is, not to be half-hearted about it; but when you make up your mind to hit, to do it as if the whole match depended upon that particular stroke.

you must have had 50's at under 13's? under 15's? under 17's?
