Must have been some game, Joe. I'd love to be knocking around 100s/50s at will, like you've seemed to have done!! I reckon 2011 will be my year though  :D

anything to do with the SAF ?

A lot to do with it, Mike. That and, in 2010, I was a yo-yo man, going around from team to team in Adult Cricket, in only my 1st season of it. I'd like to settle in one team in 2011, so I can really get used to the bowling and then start 'caressing' it around with my new beauty SAF.  :D I just saw you asked for good on the drive; what a coincidence, the drive is my favourite shot!!  :D
The bat's a cracker, how come you sold it to me, never asked?!  :D

I never doubted it was a great bat, i just felt it wouldnt be used as much as the other bats i have, as i love my lightweight bats and i thought i should sell it while it was brand spankers as oppesed to netting with it and then getting half of what it was worth, i hope you do it justice......

out of interest who will you be playing for next season? and in what league....

Highgate CC. I'm not sure what team - unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I think I'll start in the 5s vs. the hand grenades (1987 League Div 6) then move up to 4s (1987 League Div 3). The other 3 teams are all in Middx County Championship League Div 2s. I'll also play for the Midweek and Sunday Friendly/league teams.

I just tried the bat after my preliminary stage of knocking in with an old ball, and WOW! It goes like a tracer bullet! I think this'll be the bat I'll start hitting 6s with, as am usually a touch player but have always fancied the straight boundary at Highagte  :D
I'd love to get some serious runs with it next year though! Cheers for selling it to me again, and also out of interest who do you play for, for what teams and in what league?

My custom made Hunts County.

Got my first ever 50 with it. Hell of a bat. Will ALWAYS have a special place in my life not only my cricket bag :)

I have two or three bits of favourite stash, my MCC sunhat and bat I scored my first (and next few) hundreds with - again it was a custom Hunts County

Hunts again :)

I hit my first 6 with a Hunts bat, real traditional profile but it was a great bat, so good infact my dog chewed the bottom corner of it! Bloody mutt!!

It must be said it is my box, not only is the most protective piece of gear, i have had it the longest out of all my current gear, and it is a 'legendary' Fearnley one.

My gloves are important to me as they provide excellent feel (Itias and Redback). As is my helmet (Slazenger Elite pro).

Best bit of kit I own at the moment is either my Gel advance IIs or GN PP Duffle.

Without doubt my Morrant int'l ultralite pads and Nike zoom opener boots. I can play with any bat or lid but if I am missing either of these 2 bits and need to use someone else's kit, it feels really odd.
