Grip preference/ combination
« on: November 02, 2010, 12:44:04 PM »

Having messed around with my grips for most of the season, starting off with the aero (Wrap) grip and finding this very comfortable in the hands just not quite grippy enough with gloves on, and then moving onto the spiral grip which i am very happy with.

However, I have just applied a combi grip to one of my bats and put a chevron grip over the top and i think this is the best grip combo for me grippy yet cushioned. was just wondering what everyone else favours on their sticks? what grips how many etc?

I really don't tend to worry about it, other than to replace my grip when the current one wears through!

always used 2 grips, usually a chevron underneath a thick spiral grip.
however i got a lekka recently with the xtrax grip on it and thought the same as you, very soft but limited grip. so i put a wite combi grip over the top and its amazing.

i wasnt confident at first, expected it to be far too thick but with the xtrax being so soft underneath it works great.
after adding the extra grips etc the bats dead weight was over 2.13. heaviest bat ive ever used is 2.10.5 but it feels fine, still has a lovely balance and easy pick up.

2 Grips, I use a Lord Taverners one because they look cool, and any old one underneath. Doesn't fuss me haha

Depends on the handle thickness for number of grips, I like chevron/GM control or Shock absorba grips

I use either two chevrons or one whole chevron and then half of one underneath on the bottom half.

Either a Chevron/Octopus/Lekka combi in white on top, and a chevron underneath, so just 2 grips for me.
