hummm three tons in four test innings and 436 runs for once out so far in Aus - not so many people calling for Ali Cook to get dropped now...  :o :D

Great going from cook hopefully silenced the doubters as he goes through lean laches but still manages to keep his avg above 40 even in those so that will do for me as an opener plus kp getting some runs he comes alive in the big stage

I keep getting up expecting the worst and being surprised with the best. For once it doesn't feel painful being an England supporter when we're touring Australia.

Is it just me or has ponting had no faith. In any spinner since warne as is easy to captain a legend but harder to captain a novice
Doherty is seriously village, but Punter demanded his selection over Hauritz. Look's like Punter's going to have to put his tail between his legs and recall Hauritz.

Can only asume he was picked he was picked as he turns the ball away from the right hander as they have North who can bowl offspin.

Strange call looking at Doherty's stats.

Sounds like Smith would have been a better bet leggy & hear he is a decent bat

Please no warne anyone but him lol

Who ever the spinner haurit krejza Doherty smith does not matter ponting has no faith in any of them I don't think he knows how to captain spin as pretty sure warne did not need much captaining as ge will know his fields etc to everyone

Punter said something along the lines of Doherty was selected because he was willing to follow team plans. Unless the team plans where to bowl long hops, it's one hell of a bizarre selection.

With regards to Hauritz, Punter and he fell out over the strange field settings in India. Punter had 6 fielders on the rope from ball 1!!!

Don't know if this has been posted?

Pot Kettle Black. Ponting must have had ear defenders and heard nothing when Warne , Hayden, McGrath and Waugh etc... were playing.
