I refuse to describe Gambhir, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dhoni, VVS etc as has beens, that is not true. I also don't believe that on these batsman friendly pitches in England the Indians will suffer that badly, plus the Indians overseas record has improved markedly in the last 10 years.
The series will be very close in my book - remember last time India were in Endland we were stuffed by a Kumble inspired side.
Eng to win though ;)

That maybe the case but an ageing side against a boyant England will make an interesting summer
England should remember Sri Lanka are coming over as well, they can play a bit as well...

India are the no.1 but on this form and with this team we can push for that we will just have to see how it all pans out as India edge the batting but we have the better bowlers so will be fun

Yes Sri Lanka will be a good series but no harm in looking ahead

We'll just have to wait and see. At the present time I don't see India beating England. Lot of Indian players are over the hill anyway, two years time as Umz says, they will be the next Aussies because they havent given the younger players a chance often enough for them to experience test cricket. I feel in English conditions the India top order will struggle, especially if it's the younger less experienced ones such as Raina and Kholi
England fans have been ridiculing India for years, England need to remember they haven't won a Test series vs India (home or away) in over 20 years.

Can you really see England preparing a flat track with no grass for India, who as I agree have some of the best batsmen in the world, when the Eng's strongest option is their bowling, with Anderson Tremlett Broad Finn etc?! I doubt it

India edge the batting? More like vastly superior.

Regarding the bowling, same was said in 2007....

If the Sun's out I'm not sure how ECB will produce greentops.

Zaheer would relish a few greentops though

Would not say vastly superior they are better yes but any side with srt in will have the better line up and before you start I know there is sewag and gambir but I still think it will be india batting against England bowling

But even you must admit our bowling is better but depends who performs I guess

On paper England's bowling is marginally better. Zaheer and Anderson nothing to chose. Ishant and Broad roughly the same. Swann better Harbhajan(I hope he gets dropped) atm. India's 3rd seamer is like a lucky dip....

Zaheer Anderson mmmm in swinging conditions Anderson marginally

Broad much better than ishant

Then Finn up and coming all good

Zaheer out bowled Anderson in 2007, so same again 2011.

Broad has done what recently?

Harbhajan is village, which I agreed to.

I also agree with the 3rd seamer.

Bowling is 2 1/2 to 1 1/2 in England's favour

Anderson is far better than 3 years ago plus broad builds preside and most agree has bowled very well with no reward in these two tests

Each to their own. Zaheer, since his stint for Worcestershire, has been outstanding. He's the best left arm seamer in the World. He's also the best exponent of reverse swing. He's also ranked number 3 in the World, not bad considering he has to bowl on back breaking pitches in India.

Not underestimating zaheer or any of the Indian bowlers but I think it will depend on who performs the Sri Lanka series will be important as need to continue to play well to beat them
