I've just seen KP's dismissal, if I was in the dressing room I would go over and slap him. Irresponsible shots, apart from Cook and Strauss I think everyone else could have left theirs.

Swann is struggling to find his length, combined with Hussey and Haddin using their feet makes bowling difficult. What's annoying is that England looked like they'd never seen swing and bounce before in the 1st innings.

Personally i think that Swann is mainly struggling to find his length due to the way that Hussey has played him right from the off, I think the second ball Husset faced from Swann in the 1st test went for 6 and Husseys second ball in the second innings went for 4 over the top. Hussey has been using his feet to Swann really well, which is not something i can recall seeing many if any other batsmen doing recently.
I feel Swann has been shown far too much respect by batsmen until this Ashes series, it's nice to see a world-class batsmen taking on a world-class spinner in a dominating and sggressive fashion. Hopefully Swann might get a little used to it and we could see some good duels between the pair in the rest of the tests.
Although i wouldnt mind seeing Hussey continue to dominate Swann and win back the Ashes  :D

The ball before Trott was out was a big inswinger, so I think he had to play at his too

Im taking a longshot here, a massive one - England will win, Bell Prior and Swann will win it for us.

Bell is in too. This target isn't impossible.

Especially with an inconsistent bowling attack.

Coulden't agree more - It's by no means impossible, Johnson & Siddle are hit and miss so we shall see.

Okay, I'll let him off then but I stand by my choice to slap KP, I'd take a run up as well.

I think I am being a bit optimistic but I have had a £5 bet at the bookies for England to still win at 14/1. Albeit, another 300 runs to get, but still got Bell who is in the form of his life, Prior who hit a ton last week and Swanny can hold a bat.... Optimistic I know!

5 dismissals from very poor shots, bell and prior need to make tons if we are to keep this alive.

if England have any aspirations to win this test, or this series they should watch mike hussey on video over and over again and learn some lessons

how to be positive without being over-aggressive

how to leave outside off stump

how to never give your wicket away and have the attitude and dedication to value your wicket

and so on

Fantastic fightback from Australia. It does really take only one poor session to lose a Test match.
The Aussies got mauled by their press for their previous displays, will the British press do the same or put it down as a blip?
Johnson has turned a corner and with Hussey and Watson is super nick this could get very interesting.
The MCG is going to be buzzing

If it goes down to the final test at Sydney then I think England will win because our team is more suited to the Sydney track than Australia's atm

The pitches at the SCG have had more grass left on them this season and seamers have got majority of the wickets.

Jeet

Seamers have not taken most of the wickets at the Scg in domestic cricket at all

In some innings Hauritz has even opened the bowling and Steve Smith took 8 wickets the last first class game there
and in another innings took 7 in a innings between O'Keefe,,Hauritz,,Smith they have taken there fair share of wickets when there selected...

It sure is a results pitch though...

Looks like it will be 1-1 oh well lets see what England are made of my 50 notes at England 3-1 is still looking good
