the aviation industry use the clear polyurethane sheets and these are generally the best you can get if you want it to be both see-through and easy to apply.
From what i have seen, the hammer edge sheets offer a little more protection to the blade but i hate putting them on and i dont think they look as good.
Readers and other companies do a really poor anti-scuff sheet that is brittle and offers no protection - not worth the money!
I use anti-scuff's on all of my bats, change them at the end of the season when they get a refurb..............but at �8 a pop it seems to be a bit of a luxury! (By the way, i think you can probably get them cheaper than �8)

There 5 pound from Romida for a chopper scuff sheet serious cricket do them as well..

The new gel ones are more expensive and are more protective than hammer edge but then again so ar the old chopper ones

Asad sells them as well cheaper than a fiver i think

I don't know if I use these chopper ones. They're fairly thick for a scuff sheet, flexible and very good protection, clear and don't split.

I don't like them because they retain their condition well = don't look used (no cherries in the middle)

I use the Romida scuff sheets exactly because of this. They are excellent.

i use clear antiscuff sheets and apply my own fibreglass tape down each edge. does help prolong the life of the bat in my opinion. great piece of kit

On the proper chopper ones i find that at first the marks show then after the first clean they do not and i will be honest i like my bats all looking new

Been trying a few different anti scuff sheets recently and found the 3M helicopter tape is very good.
Costs about �23 a roll but got 5-6 bats out of the roll. Doesn't crack like some of the single ones you can buy.
They are a little bit wider than normal sheets but i just trimmed 10-15mm off the edge and they were spot on.
Julian Millichamp uses helicopter tape on his screaming cats so if its good enough for him its good enough for me.

I found this on eBay used it my self I know this is a bit of an old topic but I thought people would find this useful as previously said these are really good quality helicopter scuff sheets that Julian millichamp uses I find these to be the perfect width at 125 mm wide you get about 8-10 scuff sheets dependent on what size you choose to cut it to so works put about �2 per sheet
