I thought all players were in the auction and retaining them is just that, that they retained them again. On the IPL website Warne is listed 8th on $1.8 million

And he seemed to bat well last year (when they played him!) and he can bowl a little too!

Franchises had the option to retain up to 4 players i believe (before the auction)

I like the look of deccan's squad. Chennai seem intent on having the same team as last year! Not surprising as the won IPL & CLeague

Coz Swann plays test cricket and would miss some of the IPL. Collingwood to Rajasthan - may have retired just in time
