Rejuvenated Purist II
« on: February 09, 2011, 10:50:00 PM »

Right, a couple of weeks ago I took a punt and bought a GM Purist II with a split toe from Outlaw. I've always wanted one of these bats with its classic profile and readily parted with a small amount.

On receipt of the bat I decided that my very poor woodwork skills would not do the bat justice so I sent it out to GM themselves for a refurb. Their communication was quick and informative, and they turned it around in about ten days.

Anyway, here's how the little ripper came back:

I'm quite happy with the result and hope that I can avoid the bat breakers at nets.
Thanks for looking, A.

GM charged £40 for the repair, new toe guard, scuff sheet, labels, grip, sand and polish, and return postage. Apart from the damaged toe it looks brand new from the front. I had to pay to get it there too.
Cheers,
A

it was decent Pep, as I had no qualms paying it. To be fair to Salix their capacity probably isn't comparable to GM.
