Ive just contacted Newbery and GN about refurbs.

Newbery was via Dom at Bat Repairs as is coming in around £40 once postage is included. Hoping it'll be turned around in 7-10 days.

GN was direct, i bought kibbs_11's GN powerbow. GN costs £43.99 which includes pickup and return delivery by DHL which is £12 of the cost so £31.99 for a full refurb (sand, light oil, up to 4 grips, toe guard, anti scuff and any new stickers apart from legend). I thought they were pretty good.

That GM looks very nice there mate, are you planning on using it as a net bat?

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for the powerbow in the end as I was very tempted by it...

I think I may try it in a few matches.
Though my Newbery is maturing into its second season magic.

it was decent Pep, as I had no qualms paying it. To be fair to Salix their capacity probably isn't comparable to GM.

but still, near to 60 including my postage to them and a turn aorund of 6-8 weeks isn't exactly great? no?

Salix are never cheap though, anyway. Unless you get ebay bargains like Jonp...

I huess when you compare it to the cost of their bats it is kinda worth it. 8 weeks is just a bit long really.

I've always had trouble getting info out/getting hold of Salix. They make great bats but their customer service (whilst not bad or rude) leaves alot to be desired. I know GN are a bigger company with more staff but i had a reply about a refurb within 15 minutes yesterday. It took Salix about 6 weeks to give me a reply on rouges when i asked last year

Ah ok, was just saying what i had. I was certain i was a one off. Good to see them get out and about more in retailers to spread the brand. Being local to their base they are very popular through the kent leagues

Whenever I contact Salix I get the impression that demand is always greater than supply and that they are very busy trying to keep up. I had a similar experience when asking about Rogues, but it is pretty obvious that what they did was wait a certain amount of time, then send out a mass email to everyone who had enquired. Much quicker than replies to individuals. I see they are no longer offering Rogues from the factory this season, they will be available from dealers though.

£45 is a high price, but I have quite a few Salix bats from over the years, so when I get them all refurbed I will get them done by Salix as they have a stash of older labels.

I know what you are saying, but, its hardly good business to ignore enquiries and wait 6 weeks to mass reply. In the end i went elsewhere as i had no reply and assumed it wasnt being dealt with
