I saw a couple of these bats when playing against Yorkshire Academy at Streethouse a few yearts ago.  One of the older teens that was play had a gun.  It look a really nice bat.   Very similar to the Fusion bats being produce at the same time.

who do u play for mate are you local to us then ?

They've been about ages - virtually all of the Barnsley lads had them 12 years ago when I was playing Yorkshire League.

Simon Widdup is a bit of a Yorkshire league legend, but I don't think he ever played first class - might have been a club Pro at some point, and he may well have been on Yorkshire's books at some point.

One of the guys at Morecambe has a connection with Torpedo too, as all of their guys used them for a while.

Whenever I've seen them used it's been by top club level cricketers - they've always looked like they went well, though they do look a bit like they might have been bought from a Petrol Station

No I play down in Kent.  I play for a service national team that tours the country and play against other services,  county academies and development teams.

Sorry pidge ;)

Told my old club I have officially left now, although apparently there was an altercation at nets on Sunday with one of the first teamers and a lad I know, put it this way, glad I wasn't there. Well rid :)

Joining Grove CC mate, will be playing your 2s I think this year! It's a couple of divisions lower but much happier where I am now, plus some shizzle went down at nets with one of the younger players and a first teamer. If I had been there and saw it, I probably would have lost the plot with him. Would have walked as well after hearing what happened.

Simmy - I am not happy with you anyway mate, thanks to you I am now buying a new handbag for the missus!

One of the 'quicks' in the 1s is always giving it out, verbals, short stuff, banter (and this is just nets) and was batting on Sunday. Mate of mine, only a kid at 18, was asked to bowl at him by the captain. He's a bit nippy, no attitude, just a kid who loves his cricket. Anyway, sent a few short ones down at him, nothing savage, and the bloke walks up to him in front of everyone and says "bowl at me like that again and I'll knock you out"

Was the nail in the coffin for me. Outrageous behaviour from someone who A:should know better and B:can give it out all day long to anyone yet when someone younger (and better) than him gives him a bit back, he goes off like that.

No time for that at all, so said you can all swing
