Appaulling quality GM Original LE Batting Gloves...
« on: February 22, 2011, 10:57:38 PM »

Bought these gloves a few weeks back for £70. They have been on my hands twice- when they first arrived for five minutes max, and tonight in a 15 minute batting sesh. I was horrified to see that the stitching had come apart- especially having used them once, aswell as them supposedly being the best pair. I've sent an email to GM requesting some replacement gloves and I would like your opinions....

These things happen, no product can be 100% perfect, I'm sure they will sort you out.

QC wouldn't allow for use of a product so this may happen every now and then...would hope they would be replaced foc

You would expect gloves at this price to be immaculate though. What only seems a little stitching now, could be a whole lot worse in a weeks time...

Yes but a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

Agree with you Pumakid. If you pay top dollar, you expect top dollar. Or something like that anyway.

sorry but the stitching will be the same as any model and sometime unlucky but cost of softs has nothing to do with stitching it all the same stuff in the same factory as the lower models...

you'll probably find the retailer will swap them for a new pair quicker than it takes to photograph and post....

Either way, poor stiching isn't a great advert for GM Softs. Whether they cost £5 or £70.

OK OK it may be the same stitching physically, but surely the more i pay the more time, care and love should be spent making them and ensuring they are perfect? :)

More likely to ne the more expensive materials are used to make them, depending in the complexity of the design they may have certain people making them
