Hey guys,
So with the current situation I decided to give batmaking a go.
Ordered a G3 part made from John along with a few tools to get me going. I got a lovely draw knife, round bottom plane, and a spokeshave.
Pictures of the cleft:
(https://i.postimg.cc/B6dJ8ghs/IMG-20200424-144433.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/BLcrkx9w)

(https://i.postimg.cc/mgtTTkN7/IMG-20200424-144454.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/RW5kRMY0)
So without much of a plan I started hacking away and mid way through the bat started to take shape:
(https://i.postimg.cc/VsKy51Ng/IMG-20200424-161236.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/BtP7wrHP)
And after some fine tuning with the spokeshave and a couple of Planes this is what I'm left with.

(https://i.postimg.cc/NF7dFFng/received-236924697513725.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/PvJWFXhc)
Overall I'm dead chuffed, it's 2.95 bound and gripped, and flies, pick up is lovely and I've definitely caught the bat making bug!

Fantastic job mate.
-
Looks a very nice effort mate and I must say a nice shape. Is this your first attempt at shaping a bat?? If so bloody good effort mate
-
That is a top effort! Looks a good size bat for the weight.
-
You don’t hang around do you mate! Must have only arrived yesterday or today!
Looks a top effort. Glad you got on well with the tools
Plenty more clefts and tools in stock if anyone else fancies a go. I’ve become a bit of a tool hoarder so have a few spares of most things
-
Wow!!!

It is mate, thanks very much for the kind words, I wanted to make something up that had good coverage and picked up well and it does both of those so I'm well happy. There will definitely be a few more clefts on order over the next couple of days!!

It arrived today and has been my afternoon activity, being in lockdown I had nothing better to be doing haha.
Thanks mate really chuffed with everything and I'm still scratching my head as to how that was a G3! Haha
Will be ordering some more for sure

Thanks mate,
Yeah it's decent sized without being a monster, I'd certainly be happy to use it myself!

Top effort that mate! Well done!

That's some lovely g3 willow! Good effort mate, glad you enjoyed it and these posts are a large part of what's best about this forum imo

Another cleft up on the bench today, chuffed with how this turned out just under 2.11 in its current state, so 2.12 dressed.

Thank you mate, really appreciate it. I'm absolutely loving doing this and can't wait to buy more wood 😂

Another bat on the bench today,
Weight of the cleft was 3lb 11, so about 5 oz lighter than the cleft yesterday's bat came from, so I wanted to make something nice and light for myself.
I settled on a hybrid of yesterday's shape and the Joe Root shape that I had from B3 as both are lovely bats.
The cleft I had to work from is on the left:

This one has been on a diet, was the bat from a couple of days ago that weighed 2.12 without a grip or binding before weight reduction, now weighs 2.105 bound with tape, gripped, and polished, still flies and the pick up is lovely.

Looks like. Top work mate, any top tips to share as. In the process of sorting myself out a little workshop to get back into bat making.
Looks like a lovely shape on the high middle bat with a lovely sweeping toe.
Ordered a new bench from Axminster tools and replacing a roof an a small out building at home to use a a workshop.
-
@SOULMAN1012
Thanks mate.
Enjoyed these two a lot.
Good to hear you're getting back into it.
With regard to tips, id personally say:
draw on the edge profile that you want (either using a template or a series of measured dots connected), this will allow the profiles to be even and avoid lumpy edges.
have a shape in mind before you start
You can always take more off, but cant put it back on, so take your time trimming it down.
Dont get carried away with the drawknife, for example, I thin the toe first, then the shoulders, using my drawknife, but then i switch to a spokeshave and travisher to make sure i dont take too much off.
When sanding the back of the bat, if you are reliant on a random orbital sander, i personally only use it as much as i need to, as it creates lumps and leaves indents. I prefer to sand the back by hand as much as possible.
Other than that just enjoy the process and learn from the mistakes of previous attempts.

My latest project finished off over the weekend, had a few bits of worktop that had been stripped from a kitchen and some other leftover timber so built myself a new, bigger sturdier workbench, took a while but cost me next to nothing so pretty pleased with it.

Made a bat up for a team mate yesterday - Lovely stick, 2.12-1/4 spine that fills the gauge, and a lovely thick oval handle. He asked me for a bat with great coverage and this certainly achieves that.

So, I’ve been in contact with a designer for some stickers for the bats, and have now narrowed it down to one design ahead of the final tweaks, here they are, please let me know if you’ve got any feedback or tweaks.

Like the colour schemes. Could the stickers for the bottom of the bat be adjusted so that they 'hug' the edges a little more?

Thanks mate,
The stickers at the bottom are actually the one tweak I’ve asked him to make, I’m swapping the current sticker out for Spike (the logo)
-
Look decent mate. Can I ask who your using for your stickers as always on the look out for new companies to help my little brand in the future. Are these 3D or embossed stickers?
Colour scheme looks good especially yellow/green think they match very nicely

Thanks mate, textured and embossed, they are designed by Cricket originals. Printer is yet to be decided, likely India.

Keep me updated please mate via PM is fine as Iv got my design work all done but finding a printer in U.K. as reasonable prices for textured is near on impossible.
-
Think the issue is finding a printer with the capability who will do small runs/vols at a decent price. Mine were printed in India, but MOQs were higher than the UK supplier eco could do what I wanted (embossing etc).
However they are great quality and more than half the cost per set than I'd been quoted in the UK.
-
Thought I’d stick up a couple of pictures of some new toys I’ve added.
By far the best 2 bits -
Horses shin bone

Then got various other bits, an air pump for pneumatic sanders and for dust extraction etc.
Got an automatic hand planer
A turbo planing attachment for an angle grinder
Workshop is really starting to come together, and I’m 95% the way to getting a press, spindle moulder and new handling saws too.
-
Top work mate, starting to get as excited myself about a new tool as I do a new bat lol

Finished polishing this absolute monster today! 41mm edge 26mm toe 16mm shoulders, no concaving, oval handle.

Yeah it’s lovely, I’ve been very lucky to have a fair number of clefts that have been super light.
I’ve got a fair few bats that are this sort of size to weight. Weigh between 2.8 and 2.11

Couple of weight reductions for a very popular brand that are going from strength to strength. These were 2.12.5 and are now 2.7.
Customer has a disability so wanted them as light as possible.

Customer wanted a rebalance as well, so have made them both the same weight and as similar shape as the original allowed. Tried out a few new finishing techniques too, and they seem to have worked well.

No joke about the finishing, that's spotless!

Lovely stuff mate

Had this in for a weight reduction today, 2.15 (near enough) down to 2.8.75. Proud of the finish and shape on this one too given how much wood it’s lost. If anyone needs a refurb, a weight reduction or a rehandle, drop me a message!

This one is off to a forum member - he purchased the bat through the reaper eBay, and asked me to remove 25mm from the toe and round off the corners to match his current bat - weighs in at 2.8.9 and is enormous. Lovely stick.

Lovely chunky toe now!

Have to say @LEACHY48 has done a belter of a job with this bat. Took a bit of a punt as I've never really seen any reviews of Reaper bats but at well under £100 for a bat with the specs it has I couldn't convince myself not to.
Picks up very nicely, shape is lovely and full and after an hour and a bit of knocking in it's starting to respond very encouragingly. Definitely a few more bargains to be had in the Reaper eBay if this bat is anything to go by!

Thank you mate! Much appreciated! Enjoy the stick, it’s a belter, hope it brings you loads of runs.

I really enjoy the threads from the 4 or so guys making their own bats at the moment
I love the way that their styles have developed & are so diverse in shapes & trademark features.
Well done all.
Keeps bringing me back for a good nosey around (but I have to hide the wallet before I log on!!!)
-
Really nice stuff Jake, the shaping is really coming along nicely and your finishing looks flawless :)
-
Thanks guys, appreciate all the kind comments!
There will be a few more posts over the next week and a bit or so as I have a couple of orders on.
I’m also sticking in a willow order over the next couple of weeks so if anyone fancies anything - let me know!
-
Great job, must be re-assuring that a Brand looks at your work favourably.

Take my money now & send me that red one!!
Top work.

Another weight reduction on a bat I made up, team mate came to have a look at it and loved it but asked me to take a bit of wood out.

Hey all,
A few days ago Gary at Bellingham and Smith dropped me an email asking about a few weight reductions that he wanted me to do. All bats were 2.11-2.13, and you can see the weights they are now. Really pleased with how these have turned out, and they are all still big bats for the weight!

So - I’ve seen some comments Around the REAPER branding and the labels etc. Both me and the other guy involved agreed it was in need of a refresh - so we got in touch with a designer and here is a sneak peak of the new logo and design.

While the stickers are being sent to the printer today, I’m going to hold fire on releasing those until we have them in hand.
Any thoughts welcome as always.

Have you given any thought to doing a slightly less cartoon style logo option? Maybe a similar art style to what Phantom do?
-
Have you given any thought to doing a slightly less cartoon style logo option? Maybe a similar art style to what Phantom do?
We have considered it - but we also wanted to stay true to the original branding.
I think if you look at H4L for example, their logo is IMO one of the best around and it’s a cartoon stylised devil - we wanted to go along a similar route.
-
Do you have the old logo handy, for ease of feedback?

Here is the old one:
(https://i.postimg.cc/KY3bbVVp/58-AC26-D9-0-CB1-483-C-B8-A9-2950-BE99-AEDE.png) (https://postimg.cc/TyxFqkTn)
It’s asymmetrical and in my mind a bit fussy with the teeth and just generally a bit outdated.
-
Definately prefer the new one, thought it's probably still not for me (though I'll reserve judgement until we see the stickers)
Might just be me but I'm usually a bit wary of brands with a big union jack anywhere, probably just reminds of of some of Aldreds crrowds leanings.

Thanks mate - I prefer the new one too.
The Union Jack won’t be huge - but it’s there because handmade in the U.K. is a big selling point for us especially as we will control the whole process from cleft to bat.

A few refurbs and weight reductions finished today!
These were lovely bats to work with.
First one wanted a dhoni style toe and a general clean up,

Thanks mate - much appreciated.
Some very exciting things in the works my end - with my new workshop almost up and running in the very near future I will be controlling the whole process of cleft to bat.
I am hoping to have the whole lot up and running in a week to 10 days so that’s always exciting!
Will share some pictures once it’s all ready.
-
Things are really starting to ramp up here at REAPER HQ.
Our handle order has arrived, one of our sticker designs are going to be here tomorrow and then another next week or so. Our cleft order going in next week, and the 2nd workshop is almost done - had to build new doors for it!
In between all of that we have refurbs coming out of our ears and a lot of bat orders on as well.
Got 3 to make up for a brand that frequent this forum, and then another for a new start up brand as well.
Here are some pictures for you guys to enjoy.

3 new sticks shaped up today.
One is a stunningly light butterfly, that is currently available to buy - this will finish up just under 2.10 once sanded and finished and the spine more or less fills the bat gauge. Available for £165. Drop me a message if you are interested.

Then the other 2 are for a brand that I have made a few bats for now. One for the owner himself that is a copy of a keeley superior, weighs just 2.6.9 in its current state and absolutely flies!

The other, a long blade kohli shape copy. This will be 2.10 finished.

If you read the post instead of just looking at the pictures it clearly states the weight... ;)

I asked for the 3rd bat, but I just saw it's weight, it's 2lb 10oz

Thanks all, yeah 3rd bat weighs 2.10
All big bats for the weight.

Very impressed with it's powerful profile, and shape!
If you don't mind I would like to suggest, to wax butterfly bats, they will sell like pancakes! That's others do, you might know.
I'll start saving to buy from you in 2022 😀

Lovely work @LEACHY48. Consistently coming out with some lovely shapes. Proper stain on that butterfly as well!

None of these are finished mate - they have all just had a rough sand.
Thanks for the kind comments

Nothing to do with me - parents choose to read a broad spectrum. 😂

You do realise these bats aren't finished yet, don't you?
If you look at the finished ones they have a nice shine where they've been polished.
I'm sure Leachy would agree with you though, he could definitely improve the finishing on those unfinished bats 🙈

Phew! I'd hate to see such nice willow used to bash immigrants and benefit claimants...

I can confirm, no immigrants nor benefits claimants were harmed in the production of these lovely sticks 😅

Sensible question alert - personally I would have liked the handle to be at the other end so the butterfly stain is in the middle. Did you consciously choose to have the stain away from the middle and if so do you think it makes a difference?
Thanks

I have had a couple of people ask this. - the short answer is this was a part made, but some reasoning in my mind:
For me, I prefer the big stain out of the playing area, this particular cleft has a small stain lower down which adds playability, so I think you get the best of both worlds with it as it is, a cleaner face while still having the hardness of a stain in the swell to add performance.
Also, the grains run fairly nice and straight through the toe, but tail off a little towards the shoulders. So I would have done the same thing had I had the choice.

Such good looking bats. Some seriously talented bat makers on this site.

Thanks mate - 2 of the three are top grade so look lovely.
I have another G1 on the bench which should be shaped up tomorrow which is also lovely to look at!

Lovely bats mate as always and a good range to your shapes which shows your skill mate.
Our god curiosity do you have a favourite shape to make? What do you find the most challenging element of bat making?

Chris
Thanks mate, much appreciated.
In terms of favourite shapes, I enjoy making them all. Each shape comes with their own complexities, for example, the Long blade Kohli was relatively hard to balance as the customer wanted a thin handle, and longblades always feel heavier. I think my go to shape for a bat is similar to the keeley superior, as its the shape that I have used the most, and I like that it gives a big looking bat.
The hardest part of making a bat - definitely the finishing and meeting a weight target. I actually find shaping relatively easy, but getting a mirror finish on each cleft is a challenge. Also I find that I continually get bats to stages that Im really pleased with and then realise I still need to take x amount of weight out, which can be pretty frustrating.

Couldn’t agree more with you @LEACHY48 about the weight when you get the bat to a lovely shape to realise that it only on or about the desired weight before thy have bound the handle and added grip/grips and stickers etc. Also like wise with the finishing but must say from the pics your finishing looks spot on so it’s work that’s well worth it.

Three finished up today.
One is the butterfly that is still for sale - it is 2.9.2 in its current state and just needs stickers and a sheet, so will be easily under 2.10
Huge bat for the weight and totally full.

Now we are heating up....
2nd workshop space now all finished, and I’ve started shifting the machinery in. We’ve got a table plane, spindle moulder, and a bandsaw arriving soon, and then got 2 great sanders on their way too.

So, with all the new kit in the new workshop, I thought I’d do a video on pressing!
Here’s how I press clefts.

Appreciate video, nice set up as well. Can I ask how much pressing weight you use?
-

Hey mate - thanks very much. In terms of pressing weight, there is no set amount. The screw thread handle at the top applies tension to springs above the roller to compress the bat. I press each bat a different amount based on the clefts properties. This particular cleft needed a little more weight as it was softer due to being all sapwood and having fewer grains.
The press can achieve weights in excess of 2000lbs / square inch though so it’s an awesome bit of kit.
-
Thanks,
Am I right you pressed it 3 times?
If you didn't do last pressing, how long would have taken it to be fully knocked in by normal wooden mallet? And how long would it take now, after last pressing, to be fully knocked in?
-

I pressed this particular one a total of 6 passes back and forward. So 12 runs in all each at varying pressure.
Before my final pressing run. The bat would likely have taken a number of hours to fully prepare. There were spots that were under pressed, and spots that were just right. The skill to pressing is lightening off on the bits that are ready and applying more pressure to the softer parts within the run.
After the final pressing, I would say that to be on the safe side, 40 minutes on the toe with a mallet, and 40 minutes on the edges, then 10 minutes doing the remainder of the face.
I don’t believe in “ready press” whereby you can take a bat straight out of the packet and use it. All bats require some knocking in, but you definitely can over do it, so 40/40/10 is my recommendation
-
Does 6 passes mean you're using lighter pressing machine than others,
as I've seen that max is 3, what they've shown.
-
Does softer willow bats mean they could have pressed one or two more times? As they take hours to knock them in
-

I’m using the same press that Aldred currently does, as well as the one the H4L used to use.
I don’t know of any bat maker that just does 3 passes, I personally don’t believe that 6 total passes would be enough.
Pressing doesn’t give the same effect that knocking in does. You can’t achieve a fully knocked in bat by pressing it, and you can’t make up for under pressing by knocking in, they affect the wood in 2 different ways. There is a thread about it somewhere.

Thanks

Think what you're referencing is a 3 stage pressing process. This is different to how many passes it has at each stage of pressing process.
Each press will put the same level of forces through a cleft, which is controlled by turning the roller down further onto the cleft.

Lovely set up you got there mate and great to see you pressing your own clefts is wasn’t aware you did that part. Also great to see the set up and business expanding to a bigger workshop and more tools, looks like it’s all go for yourself and Jonny with new premises and even myself with a move from the garden shed to a proper garage workshop.
Be keen to see the new tools when they arrive buddy.

Thanks Chris!
All positives so far from all three of us seemingly.

Hi mate.

Hey mate,
We had the blade saw (heavy duty one on the left) fabricated by an engineer - it’s a converted masonry saw I think, which means we don’t get an blade bounce like you do with a bandsaw.
The one on the right is a mitre saw that’s been mounted. Both on them have bolts that dictate the cutting angle, and these can obviously be adjusted as needs be. If you need any more info drop me a pm.
Cheers,
Jake

Crazy busy at the moment here at REAPER HQ.
Shaped this bat up for one of the budding juniors at our club which is a 2.6.5 Harrow.

Then had a morning weighing and initially grading our brand new willow order, have started to prep a few clefts up for a few orders that have come in too, including this stunner of a butterfly!

Finished this for a guy that plays in our division, good player and his GM zelos exploded so he wanted something a similar shape and balance.
It’s come out very slightly heavier than his GM, but feels about the same in the hands and is much bigger.
36mm edge and 64mm spine on a 2.8.5 bat.

Lovely replica of the Zelos there mate and a nice cleft as well. Top work again buddy.

Awesome work @LEACHY48 some lovely shapes and the new stickers are top notch ! Are you able to pm me your number as I’m after getting a couple of rehandles and refurbs on some bats and was just after a price
-
Lovely butterfly had its rough shaping today.
Will finish 2.10
Unbelievable size with 69mm spine, 40mm edges, 31mm edge, 21mm shoulders and minimal concaving. Ping is phenomenal and I’m absolutely loving making bats from the raw cleft.

Love that shape!!
Stupid bat regs put paid to these profiles, which was such a shame, as they are so much more interesting to create

Couple of new sticks shaped up today!
First up, a G1 “bully club” weighing 2.12.5 finished.
Specs for this were “low middle, big, and around 2.12ish”

Lovely Stick shaped up today. This one is for sale if anyone is interested, and is £200 plus postage!
Made in the keeley superior shape, will weigh a smidge over 2.10 when fully finished, and an absolute cannon!
Comes with a medium oval handle, and will be fitted with stickers and your choice of scuff sheet too.

Absolute belter made up today!
This was made from a cleft that was turned down by @JTtaylor145, so I decided I would keep it instead!
This weighs 2.9.8 fully dressed with a 12pc counterbalance handle.
40mm edges, 67mm spine, and the a full profile too.

^ Which grade is this?
-
That’s a laminate, made using the face from a G2 that unfortunately had a knot through the blade so would have been classified as a vellum and a G3 back.
-
High middle laminate you say???
Drools.

New stick made up today for a good friend of mine. G2, max specs, no concaving, 2.9.25

Another stunner shaped up today.
Grade 1, 37mm edges, 65/66mm spine, 6/7mm face camber as with all my bats. Weight is 2.8 with no grip, so will finish 2.9
Absolute belter!
I love this shape, and the brief was “high middle - big as possible”
Also got our new proprietary toe guard on - which is a mix I’ve been tinkering with for a long time now and having picked several peoples brains, this seems to be a great solution in my books!

Stunning bat!
-
I would suggest to make background interesting as well 👍
-
Lovely shape mate, what’s with the new toe guard if you can share? Is it a plastic/runner guard like normal or like a paste that covers the toe and then sanded smooth?
-
Stunning G2 finished up today. Players shape with a duckbill - modelled off the keeley superior with a slightly higher swell.
2.9 finished and not a massive bat, but full and very very pingy!

@SOULMAN1012 the toeguard is a pourable compound that dries almost as hard as epoxy but is rubberised so flexes with impact.

A lower middled bat shaped up today, as well as a modern take on a throwback classic.
Lower middled bat is a G3 weighing just 2.6.5 in its current state, so will be around 2.8.5 finished.
Modelled off the ST shape, with a nice soft semi oval handle.
The throwback classic is a G2 and as you can see weighing 2.9 finished.

The absolute state of this!!!
This is an absolute stunner - 2.9 finished, with 43mm edges, 69mm spine, no concaving, and a mid high middle.
Stunning butterfly cleft too!
Made up for a very good young player at our club, and by far and away the favourite bat I’ve ever made - the guy will be very very lucky if he ends up getting this one 😂

Out of curiosity. Is there a reason by the uneven distribution of weight?
From the pictures the shoulders and the toe look small in comparison to the max edge and spine height?
Or is the edge that big it just makes it look small in the picture?

It’s all pretty big tbh mate, shoulders are 21mm toe is 21.5mm and the centre of the toe is 29mm. Think that would be pretty big by most standards. The huge swell and edge make it look small I think.
I try not to reduce the toe and shoulders beyond 20mm on the edges and 35-40mm in the centre as I feel it would hurt longevity if I did.

That’ll be why then! Personally for me, it just makes the hitting area look very concentrated the way it peaks like that, rather than a sweeping swell, it looks more like a peak if you get what I mean?. I’m struggling to find the word to describe it, it’s been a long day at work. Obviously pictures do not always do a bat justice and I hope you don’t take my opinion the wrong way!
I agree with small toes and shoulders massively hurting longevity!

I totally get what you’re saying bud! The customer asked me to just make a monster, and was worried about edge size etc, for me, I prefer using a little more of an even shape, but this does have a big hitting zone and is a really big stick.
If I took the spine down 2/3mm and edge peak down 2/3mm it would look a totally different bat, it would be hardly recognisable and would look much more even. It’s a bit of an optical illusion tbh.
Not taken the wrong way mate, always happy to discuss cricket!
-
Looks great, reminds me of the old B3 Warner shape

New stick on the bench today for a forum member:
Asked for a mid/mid low middle and 2.10, didn't care about grains or grade, so I picked him out a G3 cleft, because I felt that offered him best value and it also was the right weight to make a good sized bat at the specs.

Also made another tusker replica a couple of days ago. Saw a comment about bat shapes becoming effectively a bit samey and dull (which incidentally I can get behind, as 90% of the orders I get today are "big edges, minimal concaving, light weight, like a pro would use") so it's always nice to make something completely left field.
2.10 dressed with a nice thick old school oval handle. Made from a lovely G1 cleft too with nice even grains that are all sapwood.

Nice! The shadow in the picture of the back of the tusker replica looks like a perfectly engraved stealth bomber that fades into the bat

Nice blend of tradition with a hint of modern with the thicker edge - good job on scooping out the toe area! How did you achieve that - mostly drawknifing and spokeshave? Or through sanding?
-
Hey Chad,
Thanks mate! The toe was shaped initially by drawknife, but then a belt sander to get the "scoop effect". The guy that wanted it wanted a modern take with a slightly lower toe scoop than the original, so I offset the edge to balance it out. Ended up picking up really nicely too!

Haven't posted in a while in this topic but this stick was too good to not post!! 2.9 max specs, huge toe, oval handle and just perfect grains too! I made this for myself but it may just be too good for me haha.

Lovely bat that
I thought at one stage I read a post you were going to go pro a couple of years ago or considering it to go for it ?
-
Serious serious grains on that one, lovely stuff.
-
What a brilliant bat! Great work Leachy, such nice grains & finish. Beautiful shape too.

Stunning bat Jake, lovely size and profile for the finished weight

Some more sticks made up this weekend
First one is a Keeley superior copy, 2.8 fully dressed and a decent looker, pings really nicely and is a great size for the weight.

Then the second is something completely left field. Performance laminate, 2.8.5 fully dressed, and my brief was "I want a bat that makes me want to hit everything for 12" again a nice looking stick, lovely shape with a smidge of concaving, 43mm edges, 32mm shoulder slopes and a 32mm toe edge. I hate the paddle esque looks of it being completely honest, but it picks up incredibly well and certainly hits the brief.

This is a pic next to the Keeley copy which is a big bat in its own right!

The Keeley copy is absolutely amazing. What a shape! Stunning work Leachy

Imagine the size of those edges if it was a bat at my weight 2lb 14oz!!
-
Just a few of the sticks I've finished up over the last week and a half.
First two are 2 bats made up in the kohli shape, both 2.9or so, both with a lovely semi oval handle, and both pingtastic!

Then this one is a bit of a railway sleeper, G2 cleft, and weighing in at 3lb on the nose. No concaving, 30mm toe, 41mm edge, 26mm shoulders.

Then finally a Kohli/pro shape butterfly, I've made up as part of an NYE sale. Not the prettiest, but stains in the perfect places, and a nice big bat. Weighs in at a hair under 2.10, has an oval handle, and lings very nicely indeed. Not quite max specs, but a very big bat with a touch of concaving to balance it out.
