Lovely bats mate as always and a good range to your shapes which shows your skill mate.
Our god curiosity do you have a favourite shape to make? What do you find the most challenging element of bat making?
Chris
Thanks mate, much appreciated.
In terms of favourite shapes, I enjoy making them all. Each shape comes with their own complexities, for example, the Long blade Kohli was relatively hard to balance as the customer wanted a thin handle, and longblades always feel heavier. I think my go to shape for a bat is similar to the keeley superior, as its the shape that I have used the most, and I like that it gives a big looking bat.
The hardest part of making a bat - definitely the finishing and meeting a weight target. I actually find shaping relatively easy, but getting a mirror finish on each cleft is a challenge. Also I find that I continually get bats to stages that Im really pleased with and then realise I still need to take x amount of weight out, which can be pretty frustrating.
