Title: All-Rounder Cricket are TERRIBLE!
Post by: SouthpawMark on April 06, 2021, 06:20:54 AM
Has there ever been a worse company to deal with?

Ignored emails, lies on webchat, a pair of shoes being shown as “picking” on order status for nearly 3 weeks (how long does it take to put a box of shoes in another box and slap a label on it?). They seem incapable of telling the truth or sending out orders, but seem more than able to send out endless marketing emails and advertise on various forms of social media.

I fear running a shop might not be their correct vocation...

Don’t think your the first Iv heard mention this before.

Can you just get a refund from your bank or credit card provider and then tap up @Six Sixes Cricket as there service is fantastic.

Much like Cricket Direct, if your parcel comes through then you probably get a cheap deal but if there are any issues then good luck getting an adequate response.

Used them as a teanwear provider for one year and would never buy anything from then again.  Truly awful company to deal with

Few of our lads suggested them for teamwear when our deal with current provider ended. Not a chance

Very active in social media and with all these deals and discounts they offer. But wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Paid a couple quid extra to get balls elsewhere and ordering the feed buddy machines

That will be the next step. Thought about contacting Trading Standards too, but unfortunately being ****ing useless doesn’t seem to be classed as a reportable offence.

You could leave a review here

Allroundercricket Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of allroundercricket.com (https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.allroundercricket.com)

which will probably fit right in with other recent reviews from the looks of it.

Also, from my experience, companies seem are more proactive to complaints on their social media channels than to phone calls, emails etc. So you could post on these if you haven't already.

Sad to say but can only agree with negative comments and reviews online.
Seems a shame to bash anyone, especially those in the industry we love but I have had 2 dealings with AR - one for teamwear in which my initial club order came late and incorrect so had to be sent back. The year after when ordering new kit it didnt arrive for myself and 3 other players until well after the season had ended.

On a personal note, I used them once for a pair of NB shoes which when I went to collect were not the correct size and they spent more time trying to get me to buy a pair of adidas or try the wrong size than they did just dealing with me as a customer and giving me my money back.

More recently I found it hilarious that they had a massive media push for their DOUBLE DISCOUNT birthday offers.... to fill a basket as a test and work out that the DOUBLE DISCOUNT equated to 10% off RRP!!

Best advice to give in any instance to users of this forum is simple... USE A FORUM SPONSOR AND YOU WILL 100% BE LOOKED AFTER.

I have had 2 instances with them whilst at uni in Leeds...I normally go to Owzat as it is fairly local to me and they have always been spot on. Both times I visited All Rounder they were very poor. I got overcharged for a piece of equipment on one visit and when I said it's this price online he basically laughed in my face. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and on a second visit enquired about when they would be getting new stock in to which I got the reply "how longs a piece of string" (I will just point out this was 2018...not exactly a big ask in my opinion to provide at least a rough idea).

Their discounts are laughable as well and they always click-bait customers (I.e "double discount" meaning a 5% discount over a 2.5% which I think we can all agree on is essentially false advertisement).

Will never go there again. Not sure about the Sheffield store though, I have heard that is better but not been personally.

So I spoke to them on live chat this afternoon, and told them I wanted to cancel. They said “we can send you the blue Puma 19.1 shoes by express delivery today”. No thanks, I don’t want the blue ones, as I have the blue ones and the only reason I ordered from you is because you told me you had the new 2021 colour in stock, in my size, FOUR times.

“How about these 2020 NB CK10 shoes. We can get them out to you express delivery today!!” No thanks. I don’t want NB shoes. I want the Puma shoes I paid for, because you told me FOUR times that you had them in stock in my size. I would like a refund please.

“How about the yellow ones?” NO. I want a refund.

“Ok, we will process your refund now”

8 hours later - no notification of a refund being processed, so have filled out a claim form with my CC company.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHARLATANS! It’s not worth the stress.

Had a bad experience with All-Rounder Cricket when trying to buy a helmet, ended up having to do a Paypal dispute to get engagement from them and ultimately my money back.

The positive was that I ended going direct to Masuri, who have been absolutely superb every time I have used them.

Still no refund confirmation, but have ordered the shoes I wanted from elsewhere... from SportsDirect of all places! I hate lining the pockets of Mike Ashley, but at least I’ll finally get the stupid shoes.

@NT50  we have used Rob @Six Sixes Cricket as our club shop and kit supplier. Gave us choices of lots of manufacturers and in the end we went with GN through Rob and service has been superb since day 1.  So I know I point a lot his way but since Vitas ceased trading and then Rob started they really are by far the best for service.

Still no refund confirmation from the charlatans, but my CC company have already investigated and refunded. I wonder if that means they have a special “all rounder cricket” department...

@SouthpawMark good that your CC company stepped in. I had to take AR through the Small Claims court in order to resolve the issues with my order. Ended up with AR backing down and reimbursing me in full, plus some. Took a few hours to read through the Consumer Rights Act and put the claim together but the law is quite an easy read and heavily stacked in the consumers favour. I especially enjoyed the latter part when they were grovelling to make me close the claim, that was the best part.

Naturally I have never purchased from them since - and will never deal with them again.

I’m not sure why they behave in the way they do. As you say, the law is stacked in favour of the consumer, and we will ALWAYS get our money back one way or another. I am surprised they have lasted as long as they have, but eventually they will fold, and everyone who has ever made the mistake of ordering from them will let out a collective cheer. Awful, deceitful company.

We used them as our kit supplier three years ago.  They were absolutely shocking.  We ordered over 120 playing shirts (adults and juniors) and were promised 6 week delivery, which turned into nearly five months.  They constantly made promises they couldn't keep or fobbed us off or just ignored us.  I ended up finding an email address for the owner and emailing him every couple of days (never got a response).  I know things go wrong, but they appeared to simply not care.

They were **so** bad they've even prompted me to write this post.

That’s exactly what i am expecting to happen. I’ll be happy to return them as long as they provide fully insured, pre-paid postage, otherwise they’ll be out of luck.

Can’t agree more on talent, I ordered a bat, emailed a day later asking if I could change my order and they cancelled my order then to make it even more amusing emailed me roughly 6 months later stating that I was wasting his time and wanted to know if I’d made a decision yet 😂

I had a similar issue with them waiting for a delivery of a cricket bag.  It was listed as in stock on the website but tool ages to arrive.  When I chased it they said they were waiting delivery of stock, then kept fobbing me off with the same excuse.  I got fed up of waiting and ordered it elsewhere - emailed to cancel my order to be told it had been dispatched that day and couldn't be cancelled.  I refused the delivery when it arrived so it got sent back to them without me having to arrange it

The shoes have arrived from sports direct. They are rather snazzy! 😎

These oafs have ignored my cancellation, ignored the fact that my cc company has voided the transaction, and tracking shows that the pair ordered from them weeks ago will be getting delivered later today... 🙄

had a similar experience with talent. when i whatsapped the guy to inquire about the product, he replied. Few days after I placed the order, I WhatsApp him if it is possible to update the order. He looks at my message and doesn't respond to me. 3 weeks there is no update on the order. On their website, it still says pending order. I emailed them to cancel the order. 15 minutes after that email, I got an email saying the order is posted. Will not be using talent cricket again. However, they do have quite good selection of cricket equipment from a lot of brands.

another one that I had bad experience with was cricket direct. I had a horrible experience with them 7 years ago and will not be buying from them ever.

the only close cricket retailer I have is serious cricket which is half an hour drive from me. They don't have a lot of selection of bats and price are a bit on the higher side.  I booked some net sessions with them last year. Due to lockdown, I had to cancel the booking and was trying to see if I can get refund, however they only offered me a voucher and that voucher only has to be spent with serious cricket. I have decided to not deal with serious cricket anymore.

The one retailer I have always have good experience is itsjustCricket. They have always delivered on time and always responded to messages and provided good service. however they have also now shifted elsewhere from london and paul is not running the shop anymore so can't say how there service is now.

Just a quick update on the charlatans at All Rounder Cricket...

Today I received an email from my card company saying that my refund has been reversed. Apparently the jokers provided proof of delivery, and also told them that they didn’t receive my numerous requests for a refund, or my offer to return the shoes at their expense for a full refund. How convenient. It would be a real shame if their shops accidentally burned to the ground.

Anyway, if anyone wants a pair of snazzy Puma 19.1 spikes in the 2021 colourway (white orange yellow) for a good price, give me a shout.

TBH I've yet to find anyone who regularly  fulfills orders quickly. Our current provider offers 7 to 10 day turnaround during season but has a problem with their printer. That said, you just want to be kept informed and clearly not the case.

Gray Nics have been outstanding for us so far since we switched to them for this season. Good range of stuff, good quality and pretty sharp turnarounds.

You won’t get a response. They will ignore you until they have the order ready. They will ignore cancellation requests in the knowledge that even if you get a chargeback from your card company they will get it reversed by proving delivery. They are a bunch of crooks.

i saw on twitter they are blocking and reporting anyone who writes anything negative about them. clearly spending more time covering it up than actually solving the problem, strangely they are extremely proactive in trying to find new business. myself and a few other club officials have had to block someone who worked there from our club facebook page because they consistently posted and DM'd us trying to get us to buy more from them.

very strange company activity

Reporting to who? I think people are well within their rights to call them out on social media - long may it continue. Hopefully one day their shop will burn down, but based on the way they act, it would almost certainly be an insurance job.

Cricket  Direct are also terrible.

Bought a pair of pads on March 29th. Sent numerous messages and the finally replied on May19th saying one of their team would be in touch ASAP.
Now they've blocked my email address. Going through my bank to get it back.

Have bought from them before so was positive to begin with. Pretty sad this time around.
