Decent game today :)
Came in at 3 and saw us get to 60-4. Managed to get a decent partnership with Number 6 and got up to 150-4 before a rush of blood (completely needless appeal of theirs) saw me get bowled. Ball kept a bit low but it was the wrong shot so I have no real excuse.
Managed to grind 28 though so not bad :)
Unfortunately they managed to grind a draw. They were 169-9 at the end :(

24 looks about 12!

Plays a good standard in Kiwiland, I think it's Minor Counties standard. Chris Gibb is his name - henceforth known as 'The Lost BeeGee'.

Not a brilliant start to the pre-season friendlies, played 2 scored 8 in the first but kept well. Scored 40 yesterday and didnt keep. Wore in some new kit yesterday and was very very comfortable in the new Puma softs!

Mid april track, our pro Andy Northcote, still said he felt a bit out of touch

What country is he from and what standard does he play?

We batted first today and got 156-7 from 40 overs. They batted second and got 160-5 off 23 overs.

I kept and didn't have a great game tbh, umpires a little harsh but 13 byes isn't acceptable. In desperate need for some adults gloves too as I'm tried of keeping with youths/boys gloves.

good first game, bowled them out for 110, chased it comfortably and wasnt needed to bat at 6, took a catch and only gave away 1 bye

Played Sheffield Uni Staff today in a 30 over game. We made a complete hash of our batting to only get 101 in 27 overs, they did it for 3 down. I ground out a solid 9 opening but at 24-1 off 10 overs, I decided I had to have a go as my partner was pretty clueless and we supposedly had stacks of batting, only to see my middle stump go flying. At least it was 9 more than Simmy got, he hit the 2nd ball of the match,a wide long hop straight to backward point!

A nice game today, kept wicket and took a catch but let through way too many byes! Ended up chasing 247, and hit 62 myself with 4 maximums, before being caught by a really good catch on the boundary! So good, I actually laughed when he plucked it out of the air! Then 2 teammates hit half centuries each and we won by 5 wickets :)

Averaging 112 after the first two games with 50* and 62, happy days! It won't last long though!
