Saw this one on the bay a while ago, but the seller was too optimistic on the Buy It Now price and it went unsold.Saw it re-listed later at a lower price, put a bid in and won it. Jolly pleased with it too, as I've ben after a decent original Magnum Supreme for ages. However, this one's in mint condition; never hit a ball, and was won as a prize given by the Refuge Assurance League back in the day.I just need to replace the original grip with another chevron (as it's hardened) and it's as good as the day it was when it came out of the Worcester workshop. With my DF Attack I restored a while back, it's finally satiated my Fearnley craving.
Does anyone know if anyone sells old fashioned/vintage plain black cricket bat rubber (handle) grips? Alternatively, would an inside-out black grip look authentic? I'd like to get a cricket bat from the 1970's re-furbed and I'd like it to look as close to the original as possible. Does anyone specialist in re-furburbishing bats? Thanks in advance.
