Saw this one on the bay a while ago, but the seller was too optimistic on the Buy It Now price and it went unsold.
Saw it re-listed later at a lower price, put a bid in and won it. Jolly pleased with it too, as I've ben after a decent original Magnum Supreme for ages.
However, this one's in mint condition; never hit a ball, and was won as a prize given by the Refuge Assurance League back in the day.
I just need to replace the original grip with another chevron (as it's hardened) and it's as good as the day it was when it came out of the Worcester workshop.
With my DF Attack I restored a while back, it's finally satiated my Fearnley craving.

That is such a decent find! Probably the best original condition of DF bat I have seen!!

Think there's a lot of good memories and a lot of love for DF out there among bat badgers - even if the brand isn't nearly as visible as it used to be.
I'd love to see it back on the international stage again.
Does anyone know if they still make (but obviously not sticker) any international players' bats?

Are there 2 variations of Ridgeback as have seen this one, and one with just a single (larger) sticker on the back.  Like the V800 is one more valued than the other for some reason?

There are two yes. That one is the older style one, and the one with the lump on the back was a re-release named as a Ridgeback 2000. The one you have seems to be rarer, though neither is all that common.

Does anyone know if anyone sells old fashioned/vintage plain black cricket bat rubber (handle) grips? Alternatively, would an inside-out black grip look authentic? I'd like to get a cricket bat from the 1970's re-furbed and I'd like it to look as close to the original as possible. Does anyone specialist in re-furburbishing bats? Thanks in advance.

There are a few members on here who refurbish bats to a high standard. Or you could send it back to the original maker.
I've used a simple black chevron grip on my original DF Magnum and a red chevron on my original DF Attack. They look old-skool enough.
