The old way of doing it - left and right handed toes. That one is for a right hander.

Now that you say that something way back in the deep recesses of my memory is agreeing with you

This must be rare, NOS,

Rare, collectible 1970's GN100 5-Star Scoop, brand new, as pictured.

A pristine example of the top of the range 5-Star version of this classic bat. Would suit a collector.

The bat remains in its virgin unoiled brand new state. Includes original GN bat cover as pictured. The original handle rubber is still on it (which surprisingly is not even perished given the bat is approaching 40 years old) and I put a new rubber over the top of that one to protect it.

Very nice!

Not quite the earliest scoop, they had maroon stickers. I'd say it's 77 onwards which is when GN changed to the scarlet stickers

Here's a collection of Vintage bats cleared out from my club today:-
GN

SS Contour

Slazenger

Others

Started to clean these bats up for sale on ebay. Here's the Dynadrive in a bit better condition:-

Mostly in decent condition, I managed to sand out most of what appeared to be stanley knife marks. Few minor surface cracks on the edges, but not even in need of glue. Did notice some dents around the shoulder in particular:-

Thought I'd share this GN Optimum 1000 Megastrike. It's 2.12 with one grip, LH and unused. It pings really we'll and has no bow. I think this was used by Hansie Cronje and possibly Matthew Hayden

I've tried a couple of different coloured grips but can't find one I'm happy with!

I think Greg Blewett used one of these too.

Purple grips are cool with these old Gray Nics.

That is a serious 'chunk' of wood. Strange how there used to be a lot more Long Handle bats back then. You hardly see one now.

I did thing a purple hybrid like the one on the Affinity Phantom might look good, I'll have to get one ordered. The bottom of the handle is seriously oval too

Just found this thread, heres a couple shots of my GN Scimitar, my first English Willow bat, it lives in my kit bag at the moment as a net bat but soon to be retired to the wall with my first team shirt.

Interesting to note, even with the scoops it's a heavier bat than my E41 and X181 and the handle is round both options which i don't like anymore.

Hi everyone. New on the forum and hopefully I will be posting more stuff soon. I'll start off with this ancient bat that I got from someone. Can't see the bat makers name anywhere. Looks like Kashmir because I can't see the grains very well
