I think the powerbow appeared somewhere between 2002 &  2004. It was the successor to the longbow...

My apologies, I was thinking of the longbow.

Time for another in this occasional series,  and while it's not properly "vintage", it's certainly a modern classic.

I bring you a four star powerbow,  which,  going by the stickers is a gen 1. It's in great condition and still has a remarkable middle. Best of all is, of course,  the marvellous shape. A true eBay bargain. Enjoy!

Absolutely love that bat.

I bid on a beautifully maintained Elite500 on ebay a few months back and stopped bidding when it hit 200aud.........should've stayed on it!

Hi,
Thought I'd post my collection of vintage bats.  Hoping to learn how to restore these properly.  I'd appreciate any direction on where I should look for advice on this forum :)

Hope you enjoy.

I'm seeing a bit of a theme there!

My older brother had that exact version of the DF Magnum.  Heavy pick up but when you middled it... Lovely collection there.

Time for a rare update to this topic.  I acquired,  a few months back, this unusual vintage bats. It's a vintage Slazenger V100 but what is unusual is that it is a long blade.  It bears the model name XL Waugh Zone, but I can't say I remember it as an English model.  Apparently Steve Waugh used a long blade,  and this model was made in recognition of that.

Bouncing a ball on it,  the rebound seems good and it is still in good nick.  It weighs in at 2lb 13 oz. Some pictures for you to enjoy.

It's the dog's sofa, so we don't bother as it takes a bat-tering... ;)

The Waugh Zone V100 was available here, though the England V100 pro, Ramprakash, obviously didn't have it. My mate and I had the V100 and V600 respectively.

MArk Waugh was always a Slazenger player, so I don't think the LB Steve Waugh story fits.

Then I have the wrong Waugh brother!

Yep these were the Mark Waugh bats from Slaz Aus. Mark always used an LB.

Nice find mate! I've always wanted one of these.

One of my mates had a V100 between about 1989 and 1991 and it was a beauty. I absolutely loved it, although I could never find one in the local sports shops that felt as nice. Was very pleased to get my hands on this one after all these years, especially as it's a pretty unusual one!
