Not normally a retro bat guy but always wanted a Powerbow in my collection. Managed to this Pro Performance off eBay this week, weighs 2lb 10oz. Going to give it a clean up but I will keep the stickers (Unless by some miracle somebody has some Powerbow stickers available for sale)

Anyone know anything about GN Monsters?

I picked up a nice 11 grain 2nd hand one today. Stickers in good condition, A couple of surface cracks on the face but nothing that a little glue won't sort. As the name suggests it is huge, 3lb 1oz, with a toe that is 38mm at its thickest point.

I got given a bat by an old neighbour who passed away - He played in the 50's and 60's. Very old looking dark brown bat that dated 1954. Took it out in a Sunday game and scored 37 with it including a straight driven back foot drive that flew and a miss hit pull that went for 6. Very clunky feeling bat with a very small middle - but when you found it it flew ! Springs didn't absorb much shock in the handle. Raised a few comments from both my team and the oppo !

Unfortunately neither does the club anymore - they folded in the early 2000's. Sidley down in Sussex - bottom of the premier league most seasons. The memories exist that'll do ! Just used it in a Sunday friendly game for a bit of fun. Picture a standard bat from the 1950's and theres the stick. Thin thing with barely an edge on it. Mahogany brown in colour. Stamped splice no stickers. The old boy loved cricket and talked for hours about the game. His bat got another innings after he was gone. Was a bit of a dare from my brother after a heavy Saturday night and when I was told by the Aussie pro that I couldn't use it as it would be shameful that just persuaded me to have a hit with it

I'm assuming it's one of the later original scoopy series - can anyone date it for me?

Anyway, it taps up ok, so I think I might scuff it up and give it a whirl in the nets - any suggestions as to which colour grip to put on it?
