Ok you go on about age and experience, but if you were 17, had forked out so much on softs and they were falling apart after minimal use you wouldn't be best pleased

Yes, but he's not 17 and has the experience to know that remaining calm and dealing with the problem in a mature way is likely to illicit a far more positive response! That's the whole point!

Wouldn't be pleased, no. But there's more things in the world I'd get angry about, not a pair of pads which I could take back to a shop and get replaced.

Fair enough is that like, but it seems i am very unlucky for this to happen twice to so you must all take into account it isn't me taking one issue and going over the top. It's the second time in a few months from the same company. That's why i am angry.

Did you not get a refund/replace for the gloves?

No I didn't. Little time or care was taken in having them unevenly restitched.

I am not sure. I sent them to the retailer who said they would sort them.

Interesting. Might be worth mentioning that when you (calmly) contact GM.

You'd be best off calling them up rather than emailing. I had a harrow bat break within 2 weeks of getting it from them 2 years ago. Called them up and they sent another free of charge and let me keep the old one. Its a lot easier to convey yourself on the phone so often they 'feel for you' a bit more and you get what you want.

Wow the stitching on your softs was dodgy, whats wrong with just taking them back to the shop? Starting a bitching thread doesn't appear particularly mature. I understand it's annoying but at the end of the day theyre a set of pads and gloves, thats all. Chill :)

Take them back to the shop and theyll take appropriate action.

The reason GM use retailers is for things like this. Yes its the retailers problem for this as thats what they are there for. The retailer doesnt lose money from this. If they give you a credit/refund whatever then they get it back from GM.

400 pound bats can start cracking from the first net, and better quality cricket softs can wear good. Just because the softs are more top end does not mean they will last longer

I have had things fall apart on me over here in Aus that I bought from GCCC, and I just took them back and they sent them away (which mean I was without some gear for a week) but they would end up either replacing the item, or giving me a store credit. At the end of the day we can't do anything, only agree or disagree with what you're saying. You're best off taking them back to shop you bought them and going through the warranty process.

I have to say i had a pair of GM original gloves and the stitching came apart on one finger. One phone call later, an e mail of 3 pictures and GM sent me a new pair of gloves. I have beasted my GM Original LE pads all season and no problems what so ever. I can't talk highly enough about GM for customer service or the quality of their products, though i have to say the Talisman is up there too.

DOn't take it personally but it is silly if you won't take your defected pads and gloves to your retailer, GM won't come to your doorstep with a replacement or refund cheque
