Guy who I had County Trials with 2 years ago was clocked at Lords bowling 83mph. He won the ECB Speed Stars Competition.... Facing him in the indoor school at Taunton was a tad scary......

Guy at my club was clocked at 86 whilst at uni. Now 3 years later doesn't like to bowl! The way it goes...

Newington CC
Holywell Meadow, Holywell Lane, Upchurch, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 7HN

Its good the Sky guys ask for stories about the club/players so they can film a few clips based around that.
We had to be ravers and dance due to the tour to Ibiza cc,  I kept out of shot for that.

A straight yorker for the speed gun if you can

We have bloke at our club who is 1 year younder than me (18) and he was clocked at 134km at a rep carnival last season. I use to play him all the time through U14-U18's as we played for different teams, and he is deffinately sharp.

I wonder what stories we'll have for them. I can think of a few:

- Occasionally fielding four teams despite not having our own ground.
- Inconsistent team selections (unlikely to play in the same side twice).
- Distancing ourselves from a Twenty20 tourny set up partially by one of our players, which has been taken up by another club and is going rather nicely.
- Chris Smalling playing a few games for our (now defunct) colts side a few years back.

I'm informed that the fastest speed clocked today was 74mph by an Upchurch CC first teamer.

Best managed by our club was 64.

Nah it was Dan Parker, I don't think Headley plays for them any more.
