Note to the powers that be I wanna see 5 tests like this not 2. This is a brilliant advert for test match cricket and is giving me far more entertainment than a few pointless 20/20 games.

Here here. Glad to see the other 2 best test teams in the world having a good old set 2. Shame the Ind-Eng series couldn't be on such a neutral surface :)

IMO, Marsh should open and Khawaja should go to 3.

I know Marsh has opened in limited overs but has he any experience in First-class cricket? He seems to have the patience and technique for it, I certainly think he'd be a better player there than Hughes! What happened to Calum Ferguson, a few years ago he was meant to be the next middle order bat for Oz, did he have a few injuries or something?

I agree strongly with the Bird, to have only 2 test matches is criminal. Especially going on the last few series these guys have played against each other.

Watson gone early. South Africa still in the game.

Watson out third ball of the innings LBW.

Doesn't challenge.

Replay shows ball pitching outside the line PLUS high and missing leg!

If he challenged, he would have survived. Oh dear!

Had he reffered it he would still be in. Going down leg and too high.

It's strange as Watson always refers but never gets it right, now he doesnt and he would have been not out, lol

Pretty sure Marsh opened for WA in the Sheffield Shield too. Ferguson did his knee (ACL) when he was starting to go really well in the ODI team, and since coming back he hasn't down much tbh.

Ferguson has an ACL injury which forced him to miss over a year of cricket.

He made his comeback last summer.

This is proper test match cricket. I would love to see Warner open for Aus as I think he is an outstanding opener

Actually, since coming back he has improved his batting average, so he has actually done better than before. He seems to have fallen from favour though.

I didn't look at the stats, just haven't heard his name much. He deffinately has fallen out of favour though.

The pitch isn't actaully doing much, Watson just put it in the right areas and got the rewards. Was a bloody good 100 though.
