I could just about use that weight although 2'10-2'11 is better weight for me, so please tell Mr. Stig that it is safe if he brings it for next batoff!  ;)
My Screaming Cat was in more danger of being snuffled by the Stig!!  :(

Pete nothing is safe from you :o !!! :o

So having recently lost his county contract, can't you twist his arm Buzz, that there's a very quick way to make a hefty chunk of coin?
I am not sure - like all out of contract pro's he is talking to Kent and Glamorgan.

although repairing the barn roof will be expensive for him

Am going to come in here, as I was in Tony Price sports in Plymouth today and they had two GM Icon + an 808 and 909 I think and they were both incredibly light and must have weighed 2.10 maximum.  The GM Icon has always had a good pick up though and I might be mistaken on my guess in weight, but I was comparing them to a couple of bats that displayed 2.10 and they felt lighter by a big margin. Also the GM Flare + player bat I used only weighed 2.7 and it was massive if you hunt around you can get big GM bats with very low weights and not necessarily a top of the range model relatively cheap.

I am sure that is the case. the 808 bats are around £150 and are very Goo# value.

however I know you can't by a bat like this in the shops...

I am happy to provide one of my bats for testing to use as a comparison and I bet my bat out performs this gm mystery pro bat ;)

sounds like you need an independent tester.
I volunteer.

I'd be interested to see if those scales are actually accurate too.

Send both bats to me, I'll independently review...

Yes, unless they're on uneven ground or the bat isn't placed correctly.

I recently received a 909 Icon in a swap with a Forum Member and I was seriously amazed by the size of the bat and the pick up.
It looks like a 2.12 and picks up like a 2.9. The entire profile was much bigger than I expected but as it was a long handle im not sure if that means you get a slightly larger profile? Surely not but im really impressed with this Icon  profile.

Well love them or hate them GM bats can be as good or bad as any brand but if you keep an eye out its more than likely you will get an 808+ Icon a lot lighter than it should be and it aint that uncommon!!
