Morgan is almost like KP. Very hard to drop because (like you say) of their reputations.
If KP had been dropped like a number of people were calling for, he wouldn't have had back to back hundreds and match winning knocks.

The Top 10 batsmen in International T20's were put into there current positions and Morgan was top by 20- odd points!
Who was Second???? KP!

I see Bopara as having lots of talent but very little mental strength. I go back to the ODI England tied with India when he made 98 (I think). Brilliant knock in itself but the winning line was in sight, as was his ton and he tried bringing it up with a 6 and was caught on the boundary. Put Morgan (or Bairstow and Buttler from what i've seen of them) in the same situation and England win that match.

I'm not sure you can use his bowling as a reason to get him into the side either - i'm sure Cook just uses him as a change bowler to give him some flexibility with overs later in the innings!

I agree with Rohit Sharma being a class act, he looks a very good player to me, hopefully his technique and mindset is not shot to pieces by the satanic IPL!

I think Rohit is mentality spent. He was backed by Dhoni, but failed to register a big score to justify his selection.

Dhoni has been slaughtered in the Indian press for keeping Rohit, Raina and Jadeja in the side. Many Indians wanted Shewag/Gambhir/Tendulkar is the side plus Tiwary, who scored a 100 in his last ODI!

Coupled with the open rift Shewag and Dhoni are having, it seems the Indian dressing room is fractioned.

I like Sri Lanka, they just get on with it. You don't hear them moaning about green tops or balls bouncing at a normal height.

Been to England, SA and Aus in the last year and haven't done to badly. Not the greatest side on the planet but they have some class performers and the rest chip in. Definitely greater than the parts.

SL don't have the clout of their neighbours India, so even if they moaned no one would listen.

So let me get this right,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

playing for England against teams like West Indies etc doesnt mean jack if you get runs? Give over people.

Average (edited) player? Again, give over. Yes he had a naff 2011 season, but i am sure he will score bundles if playing county this year.

He will be playing 1 day and T20 for some time yet as he is a very very decent player.

If someone wants a rant about a player WORTH ranting on about how poor they are, I give you SAMIT PATEL.

I completely agree re: Samit Patel but Bopara just isn't any better! And getting runs against a (No Swearing Please) windies team does mean (No Swearing Please) all if you can't do it against anyone else.

If someone told me I was good enough to play for england, I just needed to lose some weight.... I would be in the gym 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The arrogance of the lad to not get in the gym and in fact get fatter is shameful. Makes me so angry! Raised with a silver spoon in his mouth to espect everything to come easily to him. AND... he's stiill fat and useless now, certainly the weak link in the fielding unit!

And a few pies

May like his pies, but he's done of good job in the field and with the ball in the ODI series just gone.

He bowled alot of buffet balls. Think he took 2 or 3 wickets in the whole of this 1 days games and went for oooooodles of runs.
