We rocked up with only 8 men, damn football and rugby! Needless to say we got hammered!

Bit of a mixed day today! Firstly, it was my first game for my new club and didn't know what to expect. It was also the first game the Aussie overseas played and so he opened the batting with some other guy. The aussie batted through 40 overs for 80 odd and I ended up coming in at 5 with only a couple of overs left, and batting against a Gloucestershire 2's bowler I managed to get myself caught in the deep! We hit 185 and ended up losing by 5 wickets with just 7 balls remaining.

Was nice to meet all the guys at the new club, but also very frustrating to throw my wicket away :@ Got a game for the 1's tomorrow too, and have been told I'm opening that batting so hopefully I'll make the most out of it!

Anybody else get a full game in today?

Our first team played today and beat Frinton, our overseas first league game and got 115 and took 4 wickets, one of the younger boys got 65 and they set 220 odd and bowled Frinton out for 180 odd I think, so a good first result to season

Yeah Lansdown did really well to get the game on to be honest!

The Aussie isn't really overseas as he's got an English passport I think, he played a few games for Derbyshire 2's last year. Really sound guy- http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/461157.html

Lost to old club yesterday on one of the worst cricket wickets I've played on they got 144 we were all out for 98 3-39 and 7 for me bowled well but played a daft shot to get out after feeling really comfortable

pretty good to bowl 14 maidens in 7 overs lol

Played for our newly formed 2nd XI yesterday in their first ever league game. Had a dream start reducing the oppo to 40-7 but then dropped 8 catches letting the oppo get to 125. Hard work chasing as we were 61-3 off 30 overs, but 2 of our finer strikers of a ball knocked 70 off in 5.3 overs to finish it in style. Bowled 2.3-1-1-1, that was about it.

First XI started their exhibition tour of WCL Div 4 by dicking Great Preston, 87 ao v 89-3. No surprises there.

big dave hit 4 sixes and poults went out and hit his first 2 balls for 10 runs lol - the spinner had bowled 11 overs for 15 at that point. Poults had been doing his Mr Angry impression for 30 overs up unto that point lol
