Good to see the lids getting around the local area....played 2 games over the weekend and maanged to win them both.

Should now be safe from the drop on a Saturday after beating 3rd in the table. Managed to battle my hangover yesterday and scored 43 off 16 balls to see us home chasing 131.

I had quite a few of the opposition saying how much they liked my ayrtek lid yesterday.

Threw away another promising start yesterday when I holed out to long off for 39. I'm really trying to bat more sensibly this year but I just can't help myself sometimes, first 4 balls I faced were 6, should have been out lbw, 6, 4 but after that I calmed down a bit.

Annoyed not to get 50 as I've not had one since 2010 now but overall really pleased as I'm now on 291 runs for the year in 13 innings which is better than the target i set and easily my best ever. If only it hadn't rained as much this year I might have got a few more.

Now that's just plain rude!

to be fair, he'd said that he needed to leave at six and we were short.  But he was out at five, showered and left rather than doing an umpiring or scoring stint...

Good win for your lot Saturday, good effort to hold your own in your first year in that division.

We are still not safe after somehow conspiring to be bowled out for 107 by the bottom side  :( made even worse by the fact that due to injury I batted at 11 and didn't keep. I did have an excellent view of our woeful batting as I umpired for 30 overs though >:(

Saturdays game was quality. We bowled opposition out for 180ish. opened and bowled a load of rubbish. Then me and other opener put on 184 without loss and one by 10 wkts. Other opener 107no and myself 62no. Now third i think in the table but unlikely for promotion (as only winner goes up)

Played 85 overs of cricket over the weekend, scored one run then got out pulling, never had much luck at it, but enjoyed every minute of it

Just had a gander on your play-cricket profile Ian, you don't like to run much do you?! 35 including 6 4's and a 6, week before 69 including 6 4's and 4 6's! I reckon you've hit more boundaries in your last 2 games than I've hit runs all season! Hahaha

Haha! If you saw the size of me you'd realise why I don't run!

Lost again last week, ex-Gloucestershire player Mark Coombes whacked a ton in no time against us, but we pulled it back and bowled them out for 214. We then batted ourselves into a great position at 0-3 (thats right, 0 runs and 3 wickets), and eventually bowled out for 180 odd.

Means we need to beat Clevedon this weekend to have a chance of winning the league!

Had a 40 over friendly match yesterday. We batted first and I got 55 getting out stumped with my foot in the air and we got 218 for the first innings.  Then with the oppo being 160-0 with around 15 overs to go everyone thought the game was over then the first wicket fell starting a collapse reducing the opposition to 212-9 off 40 overs.

If I wake up to a text that says that 'today's game is off' then I wouldn't mind as it will mean we're promoted :D

Cancelled game or 1 point was all we needed to avoid delegation today. Lost toss, got stuck in and were 100 or so for 3 when we were rained off amid thunder and lightning.
A fitting end to the soggiest season in memory!

We were rained off after 3 overs too, basically promoted. Need 4 more points in the final game. Our 2s however are 100% promoted, good times :)
