Opened the batting yesterday. Scored 51 off 41 balls chasing 185. Set up the win quite nicely, but like an idiot for some reason I was watching the gnat things buzzing around in front of me instead of the ball and got bowled off the pads. Passed 1000 runs for my club as well, and I'm only 6 short of 500 for the season.

No pictures in the scorebook mate - just says 75!!!   Not often I can reach the stumps from deep cover let alone hit them!!!

Needed 33 yesterday to get 500 saturday league runs for the season... 8 ball duck :/ We posted a below par 201 with number 2(me),3 and 4 all getting ducks  Then proceeded to bowl our local rivals out for 100 to finish 2nd and guarantee promotion.
They stuck us in on a decent track as "the only player that could hurt us isnt playing today lads" as we overheard from their changing room! Que lots of sledging about that player from us as victory slowly occured.

Today chased down 262 for the loss of 5, I got 104 off 56 balls with 22 4's, a 6, then one 2 and 8 singles haha. Also bowled the overs at the death and took 1-23 with a couple of bad wides and a drop off my bowling, took a good slip catch today too so pretty happy

Cheers Colesy, i'm so hit and miss atm. It's been either less than 10 or a 50/100 for the last month - mainly less than 10!
And the promotion meant a very heavy night down the club, finished early so were drinking when we came off the pitch at 6 30 ended up on someones sofa at 4ish

Currently my senior side has played 16 games, won 3, drew 4 and lost 9, so not a great season. Good news is that we're in the bottom league so we can't get relegated!

Today's was a must win match, where the loser would be relegated. Knocked the oppo out for 182 of 30 overs, taking 2 for about 15 myself with one guy bowled off a slow bouncer, with a fair few played and missed and edges through slips coming off my bowling.

We proceeded to reach 40-5 before some fine batting from two of our batsmen saw us home in 33 overs with wickets to spare. Serves the opposition right though. Currently bottom of the league, they'd shoved half their Saturday firsts in the team...

I got the yips and can't bowl spin anymore.
For all my batting practice, still can't control my base instincts & continue to tw*t it straight to fielders.
I am now so fat in the field, that when I pull off a glorious diving stop, it's down to my lower centre of gravity, rather than any skill.


...but I'll still be back next year, and I'll catch some of you young, skillfull, good-looking, athletic buggers up!!!

Oh no one mentioned a bowling season Yeah that didn't happen so leg spin doesn't exist anymore at my club.
