Take a spell Dean Metcalfe!

What do you say to your team as a captain after a loss like that!

This one is described as ridiculous by the home club (I do not play for either of the clubs involved)

It's a joke, I called our first team game off on Saturday and told the second team captain to go with his original 11. Didn't want him asking any first teamers and knocking young guys out of their place.

I felt stupid when I made up the numbers for the seconds in a pre season friendly and hit 75 so I retired at drinks

Good stuff mate, really winds me up when people play at too low a level and I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't drop all your 1st team down to the 2's if they don't have a game.

Nothing wrong with a good competitive game but if someone talented plays at a low level surely it doesnt do anyone any good - can't be good practice playing at a standard that isn't challenging.

I thought that the 1st and 2nd XI had to register 8 players who are only allowed to play for their team?
For example, the captain was required to registered 8 players for the 1st XI who can only play for the 1st XI!!
Or am I wrong?
