Woah easy pal, constructive criticism was what was after. He's a young kid who clearly loves cricket and wants to learn. The motto of this forum is after all is love the game, share the knowledge lol.

My tip for you is go to drop feeds.

Draw 3 foot arks in front of you one one side one lef one central.

Get a mate to drop and just step and hit through the ball but you have to keep you front foot in the foot.

That where I would start

I was chucking it up and just in front of myself to try and simulate it in the garden several times last year, trying to stay still and not walk on the shot.

No no no, you won't get a good position doing it like that set 6 cones in a semi circle and hit drives off of them. Dip your head first and get your foot to the side of the ball. If you throw it up yourself you will not be still at any point.

With all due to respect such comments shouldn't be posted, they don't help but just demoralize the player. You don't want that to happen, post constructive feedback which will help him as a player, that would be far more satiating that above post.

That's what went through my mind while writing it haha! I turned 20 in September so I'm not 14.

Keep working on it mate keeping still.

There a tip I would like to pass to make it easier but it could cause problems elsewhere.

Work on feeling natural mate at the crease there enough to say there no reason you can not be a very very good player mate.

Work on the basics though leave the high elbow and fancying about get the basics right and the rest will fall into place
