Was wondering with there being no fixed point how well do they stay in place?
the whole of the front is effectively hook and loop, thus they stay in place because you can attach the straps to the thigh pads however you like.

interestingly for fit they need to be run in a little like a bat - mine after 3-4 games are now really comfortable and you forget you are wearing them :)

I'm slowly getting used to the fit of mine now, I actually prefer them without the hipster, the inner guard is easily the best shaped I have ever worn.

I have just received mine from George today and can't wait to start using them at the weekend.

Firstly just to say that George was great to deal with both over the phone and also email really great communication. I had some quite specific requests both shape as well as colour to match my club and fonts requests and George has delivered on all counts. I really can not praise the quality of the products or the service enough.

As my wife plays cricket and has started batting more I will be looking to get a set for her as well in the future (I assume they will be mostly pink to match her Newbery Chic).

Keep up the good work George

It's been a real pleasure getting these ones done ) my suppliers are getting into the swing of things as well by coming up with great suggestions for new fabrics and finishes. Chuffed to bits ;)

Thanks again to everyone for all the great feedback, there has also been a lot of emails and questions regarding which pro's are wearing Stretton Fox guards, as a supplier I am not able to state players individually due to sponsorship agreements but I can say that over 20 internationals currently playing in the ICC squads are having fun with them ) happy spotting !

Hi George,

The ONLY thing stopping me placing an order straight away is the old fashioned straps configuration.

If you had an all in one model, I would order straight away.

I have been using Aero P2s for three seasons now and they are way better than the prehistoric stuff I used before. They are light and comfortable.

If there was an all in one system on the drawing board, I would jump on straight away as your first customer.

By the way, can Paul (?) tell me how much postage would be to Melbourne, Australia?

Kindest Regards,
Vic Nicholas

Damn, why do I keep looking at photos of the Stretton Fox thigh pads. They look quality and seem to be getting great reviews. Just don't know if I could ever be happy with a traditional setup after using strippers for 4 seasons.

Hey Spanky,

I'm with you as they're obviously a high quality product that offers arguably the best protection in the market but for me the dilemma is: yes i can afford it and yes i'll use it but not sure i train (using traditional newbery pads) and play enough games in a year here in Prague to warrant paying the price over my match Aero P2s which do the job.

I guess it comes down to that although I have too many lovely bats which all cost more than an inner and thigh guard set up so even more confused now.. ??? I guess my bat is my first line of defence.. right let me continue this debate in my head..... :D
