To look as graceful as Ian Bell when batting..... (waits for the Ian Bell abuse to start)  :D

On a serious note, my batting really has improved this season and will be looking to improve my driving through cover and mid off.

After a 16 year period if not playing, my agenda is to gain my confidence back and learn the fundamental all over again lol

Strength & Power in the gym! The short ball by the looks of things (Although not intentionally; as the cricket facility at uni is stupidly quick & bouncy, everyone has spent the first net session consistently bowling bouncers)

Boozing.....

On a serious note, my nets don't start until late jan/early feb. How do you guys work on something all winter? Hire a net between friends/club mates off your own back or so people just net all winter with their clubs?
I'm at uni so we've already started netting

Having been working with a professional coach the plan is to get my bowling action sorted.
Batting wise I need to get the dick shot to moo corner out of my system, and I might do some fitness work

Keeping the ball on the ground for me. Seem to have developed a bad habit of lofting shots too often, even when I'm not trying to.
Should try to get fitter too but I'm pretty sure I said that this time for the last 10 seasons  :(

I had to do this last winter after a 15 year lay-off. It only took me 5 mins against the bowling machine to realise I missed it, but that I had a LOT of work to do lol.

It is quite depressing. But things do come back surprisingly. Just hope the practice I do over winter will help me get to a semi decent standard again.

You'll be amazed how quickly it comes back to you. Get stuck in, and don't be afraid to take a whack or two early on - I found once I got hit the first time I was far more brave after.

of.......course............we................can't....................bat...................like................him..................

but, everything is covered from sighting the ball, balance, head position, back fron, front front-the whole lot.

he stresses the importance of concentrating of getting runs, any area-just runs...

i've learnt a lot watching it and ive been playing for years

Want to work on back foot drive/punch. Haven't got that shot at all at the moment so hopefully get someone to throw tennis balls back at me so i've got it.

Timing.

Fitness/muscles so I'm fitter.
