That's fine, but is le a willow grade or a specific version of the bat? That's not clear. And if it's a willow grade, it looks to be in the same ball park as the other le willow we've seen.

Hi Tim do you think I should let lords no I not happy as wanted a bat made by Alex as heard a lot off good reports just feel I should off got a bat at least made by him rather than someone else I starting to think it is old stock as only took five days to get to me

If you aren't happy, you should raise it with Lords. It's distance selling again, so I'd expect them to accommodate you.

From what Jake was saying, they're sometimes shaped differently, like player's bats, so I'm not sure...

If you're happy with it for the price you paid then I'd keep it , bit if not you might as well get in touch with lords.

I not happy with the quality for a 275 pounds bat that was stated to be made by Alex and the one I got has not been made by him so will be sending email to lords to see what they say

How much were these bats? IE did you actually pay 275?

I was under the impression these bats were from 5 Star wood, possibly stuff they would normally make a carbo or a players out of, but i didnt think they were LE.

This could be me crossing my wires totally though.

I paid 225 with the discount code but if you go on lords website it states its limited edition from their top willow and states every bat is made by Alex and mine is clearly not so sent lords a email to see what they say

GN have  been doing so many different offers and bats over the ashes period. I had two good chats with Alex at Durham and Old Trafford.

I was sure the Lords bat were 5 star, this could be the bats made at the GN stall at the tests though, I was quite a few beers the wrong side of drunk!

Also I think Alex is on paternity leave at the moment, which is why another bat maker will have stepped in.

Surely on the lords website they should not state it's willow set aside for their profession players and states every bat is made by Alex surely they should off told their customers as chad is made by Alex and has no side stamps so not quite shaw what's going on as it was one off the reasons I bought the bat

Players wood is very unlikely for £275 to be honest. Unless Lords have struck the deal if the century.

Played against a chap who had one of these yesterday for Tunbridge Wells, I will be honest put number 11 GN 4 star looked better in terms of grains etc but the ashes bat did go well and sounded very nice.

If it plays well does it matter what it looks like? Can't believe I just said that :-[
