With the exception of their shoes, there is nothing about any of the Adidas gear, ever, that appeals to me.

I like that they've tried something different, in terms of the horizontal striping, but their stickers have always been way too busy...

I wouldn't go that far, their helmets are top drawer!
Bat wise never been a big fan but some of their softs aren't too bad

I was really impressed with the Adidas gloves - very well made and extremely comfortable (definitely one of the best on show), and the shoes looked great.  We know all about the helmets too! But the rest of the kit was a bit of a disappointment, and very overpriced in my opinion...

To qualify my previous post, absolutely with the exception of the helmets!

I think my lack of interest is having the feeling that they're almost playing at being involved in cricket.  A few lads I've played with have had some adidas gear - bats and softs - and I've never been taken by them.  Just a personal opinion!

That said I have worn Adidas spikes for a couple of years now and they are great...

Looking forward to some more pictures from Lord's!

Sorry to say, I was only at the show for about 20 mins so didn't have time to take may pictures.

Basically if you want to picture most of the kit - it is the same as last year but with Blue or Aqua trim (seriously everyone has gone for these colours)

The major disappointment for me on the Adidas kit was that the Tendulkar bat in no way was even close to the Tendulkar favoured shape. It was just a typical Asian concaved bat.

However I have found in my bag a copy of the new balance brochure - which has been mentioned before.

I will upload a few pics shortly...
sorry about the poor pics - I think my kids have been at my phone...

Those green NB shoes (CK4040AR) do look nice and a lot less in your face then the Nike Century II shoes I picked up last week. Got them for £30 so I could probs still affford the NBs. Anything about pricing?

I got the New Balance 4040's, got them a month ago here in Australia, they RRP for about $150-ish

I would suggest them, really nice shoes.

I think the new balance shoes will be cheaper than their competitors, I wouldn't be surprised if they are in the region of £20-£30 cheaper than the competition in some cases.

If I'm not mistaken the 2 models of spikes 4040 and 4030 are £95 and £75. The rubbers are the 4020 and are priced at  £55.

Going back to the Adidas gear, the bats may not be to everyones liking in terms of stickers, but the profiles and quality thats been assured, should make up for all of that when stocks arrive. In previous years the bats have been a little "weak" looking, but for the coming season they look much better and the pick up and balance is good too.

It would be good to hear what everyones thoughts are on the Spartan range...

on Spartan, you are buying the stickers.

vks, what we're you thought on the shapes of the bats, did you get a sense that you would get a consistent shape?

on price, what are they likely to be as you have to sell a load of bats to pay for Chris Gayle, Michael Clarke, Matt prior and Mitchell Johnson...

We put in our New Balance order at the show, but they said stock won't arrive until February.  We have, however, decided on pricing, as follows:

CK4040AR (bowling boots): £84.99
CK4030 (spikes): £64.99 (we opted for the blue ones only)
CK4020 (rubbers): £49.99

These are our prices, not the RRP, which have been quoted above...
