I've no international players to add to the thread, but I do have a couple of chaps procricket would know.
Firstly was Guardsman Redford, Redders. First thing i felt was a whizz and fizz as it went past my nose.
His opening partner was another Guardsmen, over 6ft, red hair, and quick.

This was in 1992/3.

Since then nothing to scare me.

The fastest I've faced in a few years is my 18 year old. This season he's just got bigger and bigger and gained a good couple of yards over last year.
I can't wait until he's in the Army and bigger, stronger, and getting some proper coaching. Then he'll come home and probably put me in hospital (very competitive family).

Broke his ankle, didn't play again for a few years, then played at Barrowford in craven league ..
Proper off the ground, still building speed pace....fun to edge for six at some grounds in that league !

I've also faced former Sri Lankan player, BSR Priyadarshana he bowled 80 mph to me on a dodgy indoor wicket!

Bear in mind I'm just recently turned 15, so anything 75 mph+ is serious wheels for me.

I've faced a friend of mine (not that day) Steven Singh, who's the opening quick for Prahran's 1st XI. Regularly 130kph+, with copious accuracy.

One of Dandenong's 4th XI opening speedsters, known to me only as Jordy, came off about 6 steps, and sent down a "loosener" which crashed into the back of the net without a bounce at easily 120kph. Then I hear our 1sts coach yell out "So you ARE just as quick off 6 steps!". Then he yells "DaanalSeed, hop into this net here, mate".

Those are the quickest I've faced, although I've seen Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson bowling in nets next to me. You really can't see the ball!

Recently a chap called Darren Bridges who was at our club for a season before he went to Durham ccc amd Durham Uni he was regularly bowling 85mph but had poor attitude, played for the top club in Kent, Hartley CC for a season then bugged off some where up North but he was very lively and very competitive.

Other one was a fella called Jo Daws from about 10 years back when I was playing kent league he was sharp and moved it. Also faced masters as he played a bit for lords wood but only faced one ball from him before his spell finished .

Finally some lads in Jamica when I played some club tour cricket when I was 16 seemed like the fatest in the world at the time.

I would rather face pace and no movement then someone 10mph slower but knew what they were doing.

Fastest I faced was Mitchell Johnson and Andrew Symonds, both in the nets for the team we all played for, Mitch was super scary pretty sure I skid marks after pacing him

Had the pleasure of facing a few rapid fire guys over the last few years, but I would say that the two fastest have to be Doug Bracewell and also Tymal Mills. Seriously fast.......

Was this when he was at Sonning? I remember speaking to him and he said he only bowled half a dozen balls at full pace all season!

think he might have been bullshitting you! we played them pre season and, if he was bowling halfpace he'd be quicker than Dale Steyn.

I'm with you on that. Having played with him at Bickley Park,  Joe is the quickest bowler i've faced along with Saggers when we had him assigned from the county. Played 1 game when the Kent league were experimenting with the pointless 2 day cricket. Faced both Masters.....Never really though David was that quick and his dad was a much better bowler than he was!

Chris did you ever play Bickley when they had a SA lad called Ryan Joffe? He wasn't quite as quick but bowled up the hill was tall and got some silly bounce making him seem quicker!

Haha I know the bloke, played against him for Barrowford at crossflatts on whats normally a fairly low track, he got good pace and bounce out of it
Saw him trundling in, thinking he'd bowl pie's because he's a big lad (20 stone as you said)
He hit my partner at the other end twice in an over both in the ribs and left some nice bruising.

beta me for pace few overs later trapping me in front, and i felt it through my pads.

Think he still plays at Barrowford, we play them first up this season
