Ok two truly wonderful bats going out to Australia to a very special player indeed cannot be named or clues given in any way but wants one labelled and one blank up on request both bang on 2-9 and beautiful feeling pieces of wood.

If it was Laver you'd be paying £600 for that cleft on the left...

Thanks very much yes I'm very lucky the quality of willow is consistently good that I get from wrights, they can only deserve the best care and attention in their making and really enjoy working them with my own fair hands.

I have heard that bats gain weight when travelling from Australia to UK...are these likely to lose weight as the process is reversed :-)

Yes it appears bats can gain weight when shipped overseas in some willow but not in all for some strange reason and I'm not a scientist so don't ask me to explain why but we have recently changed the way we pack the bat bags abroad which seems to have stopped any moisture getting back into the bats and have had great reports coming back that everything is perfect so hopefully we have sussed it and that has been tested over the course of a good 15-20 bats that have gone overseas. I'm not sure about the reverse flight as I've never shipped into the UK as I'm already a resident so it's a good question but I reckon if they are packed well they shouldn't. I would imagine the moisture is gained on any flight through the moisture in the luggage holds

Just a quick question
With those clefts, you got enough in them, to make the blade an inch longer and a square toe?
With a ssh handle

not in those 3 as they are cut to length for sh standard blade but I have a couple of others that are virtually identical that haven't been cleaned up yet so not an issue at all
