The cost is pennies when you consider how much he is paid by others to use their bats.

He's using your's and NOT charging you!

That's Thursday's 'No Brainer' dealt with.

No doubt, with the stickers taken off, and TON's put back on. If he used it with the original stickers on it its a no brainer, if not, its a write off of £230 (I know that's not the profit).

I don't think he put TON logo when he use other stickerd up brands, at least he didn't in 2013 champions trophy and he had a tape over to cover up the branding

i am very lucky to have cricketing friends in these positions. being like i am i enjoy getting feedback from them be it good or bad as it gives me a marker of what i am turning out to keep my consistency up for the general public because after all i want to give you guys what i had myself and give the pros and ex pros no different. its only the same as when i was playing, as a mediocre player i had to listen to advice compliments and criticism (far more criticism) to try and grow as a player so if i could do it there to keep me honest i can do the same here. if you want to be the best at something you have to learn from the best thats how i look at it.

as far as my stickers they were left blank as i know it can cause big problems for them and as he has been so kind to look at my bats seriously i dont want to create problems as its only for my feedback really as am not sponsoring him my i dont think theres enough in my loose change jar to pay him  :D

That is great feedback, Paul - your reputation is spreading further afield. Thanks for posting - lovely to see this stuff.

Perhaps you could offer to do a trade-in: that old bat he was using at Lords, for a new one! ;)

Best wishes,

David

Thanks, Only a Canon 600D , but lens is 100-400mm, hence the nice zoomed in pictures.

Well the compliments are flying in today very hunbleing. Just had this email from a good friend of mine from the lords Taverners who had a lovely long handle off me supreme. Gordon is a very very good bloke and funny too added to with his Scottish accent

WELL WELL Paul

Put to service perhaps a little earlier than the manufacturer might have recommended James won the match yesterday with 43 not out including 24 of an over and a four off the last ball for victory.

I await the spike in Aldred’s share price.

The bat is absolutely beautiful Paul… a fitting present for james who just heard he has got a 1st class honours degree, although I suspect there was more brawn than brains in the first outing.

Many thanks again Paul

Speak soon

Ah Paul, congratulations - this all makes great reading.

Whilst you may not obviously benefit from Kumar showing any of your branding, it must be a truly fantastic feeling to have one of your bats in his bag. I hope he actually uses in the test.

It is and more so that I have made it all by hand. It's incredible to think from where I started and where it's moving to and that it is a real handcrafted skill that we were losing from this country. Only just starting for me now though want to remain true and honest to the trade and try and champion true English traditional skills. This was something I wanted to do from the start and hopefully can build up enough reputation of quality to do so. Most of all I love it, I'm not after having a mass market label but just a bespoke product that is distinctly mine.

I like this paragraph above, Paul.

I hope it goes well as your approach and kit are both first class.

The good will out.

The praise and future rewards are well earned.

Write down your principles and pin them up in the workshop. You'll start each day with a reminder of the ethos which has bought you this far.

Great work Paul.

P.S: I will have news for you soon  ;)
