For those who love a hint of colour on an edge here are three clefts that I have selected as players because they have something special about them photos never do it justice really. I can see a lot more players grades coming to the fore with a hint of colour on an edge from companies over the next few years as the quality of top end willow is becoming rarer, but some if these clefts are for me far more beautiful than a pure white face on a bat. I am gradually getting through a large order and will put more of my own stuff on as and when I can, just get in touch if you see anything you like

Very nice

Speaking of left and right handed bats - can anyone remember these?

I use to have a lefthanded GN  bat the late seventies I think.
If I remember correctly the difference was the shape of the toe.

That right yes one toe edge would have a square corner on it and the other would have a rounded edge on it. It was more for running the bat into the crease really. That's one thing that makes me laugh a bit these days with square toes, you see so many people go (No Swearing Please) over apex when the corner of the toe digs into the ground, and it hurts. To avoid it if you notice players often try and use the face or the back of the bat to run on the ground and this brings in firstly a whole edge that can dig in and secondly it damages the toe of the bat as its running along opening the fibres of the willow causing feathering.

Everyone deserves a good bat, even if they can't use it! It's the happiness a new bat can bring. Another quality blade mate, keep up the good work!!!!

Just like me then! But being in the position of needing every bit of help that I can get it's proving a sound investment!  ;)

heres a lovely gold sovereign with silver stickers on off to Newport pagnell. we don't normally make these below 2-9 but this was a specially selected cleft and has come out at 2-8 and feels very very good indeed

Paul your work really is stunning. I love the bat photos on the shavings too, adds a real organic feel to it.

I do think it would be nice to see the profile shots from properly side on on rather than at an angle though as I think it gives people a better understanding of the profiles. Just my two pennies worth.

I would like to see a side on shot with all models in the one pic,  similar to the picof the same in the GM catalog.  It helps tremendously in working out how the profiles compare.
