As our unofficial co-ordinator of Junior bats (I hand pick them and do the video reviews) I am personally most pleased with the Harrow selection that we have brought in. As you can see they are absolutely stunning and they all go like trains off the mallet too.

In terms of full size bats, the Kudos is my favourite Newbery shape, it is so well balanced and I just think it looks awesome too with the classy decals etc. But in terms of the performance, I would say you could a hell of a lot worse than the butterfly Uzi 5*. This was one that Neil himself recommended to us and he certainly knows his salt, it is an absolute weapon! I think even I would be able to score some runs with it!

As usual I am working this week on Friday afternoon so if you can, come down and check them out, I'll be happy to have a good old chin wag about cricket and show you round the New Newbery's and Salix's as well as all the other gorgeous willow in the shop!

For the slight difference in size, I can't believe there is 9oz difference in weight. Please put it aside for me Paul (2lb 4oz bat), I have a mate who has been looking for a bat that weight...is this normal SH? and PM me the price....I can confirm by tomorrow mornign if that is acceptable...

Yes, I was just as shocked, Tushar! But yes, it is definitely a SH bat.  I have just emailed you the details.

If tushar does not buy the bat can I have first refusal after him?

Well, if Tushar doesn't go ahead with it, another forum member has also asked about it, John, and I'm sending him the specs later this morning, but it would be first come, first served.  In other words, whoever pays us first, gets it...

Nice to see some interest in lighter bats!

OK, no problem! If Tushar does take it, we still have that 2lb 5oz 7even bat and two Kudos Player bats in 2.7 so there's plenty more light bats there!  :)

Are the GM Academy and Newbery 7even full width or slightly narrower Paul??

Cameron, the 7even bats we have are 1-2mm narrower than the SH bats...

As I said, first come first served then.  It has 35mm edges and a 55m spine.

Saw these bats in the flesh yesterday. Absolutely stunning!

Paul was kind enough to let me tap them up too. Wow!

Thanks for visiting us yesterday, Andy - good to see you again! What was your favourite bat in the range?

The Kudos. But I liked Mjolnir too. It's a slightly different shape now, isn't it?

Indeed, the new Mjolnir is a lot chunkier now, and in my opinion at least, a lot more bottom heavy.  Thankfully Newbery are still making decent numbers of the original shape too, which we will continue to stock as I prefer them and we've found that they still sell very well, too!  :) The one you saw, Andy, has the original shape.
