Managed to lose a game we should never have lost today, won the toss and bowled on the most lifeless deck I have ever played on, was an absolute pudding. Bowled them out for 137 with a couple of nice catches. Standing up all game which in early may on covered pitches is awful.

Made a great start with us 56-0 off 11 then 4 of top 6 smashed full tosses down fielders throats, number 6 trod on his stumps and tail completely collapsed to finish 133 all out. 14 points isn't bad but still gutted to lose.

had a good game although we lost. we were put into bat playing against the league champs. deck was wet very green outfield was any better. started off ok i batted 6 and came in during the 19th over ended up on 21* and ran out of partners and we were all out for 88 off 39 overs.

we weren't particularly optimistic when it came to bowling but they ended up winning by 3 wickets with 12 overs to spare.

absolutely awful track to play no pace or bounce we were missing our 3 highest run scorers from last season but ended up with more points then we expected

Horrible wicket for today's game, was doing all sorts with the ball only bouncing stump height. Had a dozen balls pitch leg and straighten to off stump from the medium pacers  ;).
Managed a very scratchy 20, then pulled a short from the leggie straight down the throat of the fielder. I blamed the bat ofcourse  :D

Well, we got hammered, but it was good to be out there on the greensward doing our thing.

They got 130 off 45 overs on a pudding. We bowled and fielded well, I managed 9 overs 2-36, but as predicted, sent down several full-bungers, mixed with several late-swingers.

We managed 96 all out in return, I batted no11 (that's rubbish that is!) and scratched a fiddly 5 not out. Never played on such a slow pitch though.

However, glorious weather, just happy to be playing.

Managed a losing draw today in possibly the slowest scoring match I have ever played in! Opposition got 142/9 in 52 overs, we got to 109/9 off our 48, with our numbers 3 and 11 batting out the last five. Personally had a good game, fielded well, got a diving stop out and didn't fumble anything. Bowled at the back end of the innings, but still against the top order, got 8-0-36-5, 4 bowled (one around his legs for a golden duck!) and one caught, but got hit for a couple of sixes, one of which went straight through our sightscreen! Batted 9, got 14 to equal the second highest score, bowled trying to clip a left armer into the leg side, having just put him down the ground for a couple. Outfield was really slow, my club is on a council ground and they cut it, but didn't do anything about the cuttings, but the pitch was lovely :)

We won today. Opposition were all out for 133 after being around 110-0!!! We knocked them off in 21 overs and won by 8 wickets. Our catching was woeful, must have dropped close to 10 catches, the opening pair got 3 chances between them. If we had taken the chances we could of had them all out for 50!! I took the only catch of the innings but my bowling wasn't great

Won the first game of the T20 league. We scored 130 and bowled out the opposition for 73 in the 15th over.

We, as promotion winners, smashed last season's runners up. Made 245-4 and bowled them out for 200, despite only having three and a half bowlers. I'm a proud skipper, though full of beer and curry!

Our first win yesterday, restricted the opposition to 165/6 on a decent enough deck. Chased them down for the loss of only 2 wickets with about 15 overs in hand.

I used to love playing cricket with my dad, having little batting partnerships here and there, him always dropping catches off my bowling. Then as I moved up the order we ended up opening the batting together and there were a few run outs!!

Our first game was disappointing indeed.

Good looking track, dry but with a bit of damp on top. Turns out it was tougher than it looked!  Lost the toss and were put in, opened with the skipper.  Put on just under 50 in 14/15 overs and I made 21 before I had a Chris Rogers moment (except it was a long hop) and missed and was lbw. The ball was on the way back down! Hit me on the back thigh!!!!  Still...learn from it...

We struggled to 158 for 6 off 45 which given the difficult pitch which was popping off a length and gripping off the seam and a big outfield we thought was decent.

We rattled through the oppo's top order to have them 37 for 5 after about 15 overs. Including a brilliant back handed flick from my team mate at midwicket to run out the non striker!! Then they had a couple of decent batsmen come in and they got there in the 43rd over 6 down.  Not sure how it got away from us really.

Disappointing but good to have the season underway! :)
