The optimism was replaced with despair when I arrived at the ground in time for the heavens to open... Standing water everywhere, time to waste another Saturday lol

Golf clubs just gone in the car with my cricket gear just in case

Glorious in Yorkshire at the moment. Been up since about 6am and has been beautiful weather so far.

Still plenty f time for the rains to come before the games start this afternoon.

Not glorious in Leeds!  >:(

Rain stopped, glimpses of blue sky, en route to the ferry, minibus arranged for once we get to the Island.
Looks like my game is going ahead  :)

Not glorious in York anymore. Raining for a good hour and games starting to get called off now.

I spent over 5 hours at our club over the last 2 nights on disciplinary matters and general maintenance to be rewarded with another day of rain.

The only positive was I got the message our game was off half an hour before I was due to set off to meet at the club.

Back to the weather watching in time for next Saturday!

Another washout. So far this season I have played just 3 Saturday matches in 7 weeks although had I not gone out on loan for the 2nd week, that would have been just 2.

4pm start game reduced to 25overs.

We restricted them to 74for9 of 25 despite 4dropped catches

We then batted like bell ends and were 56 all out.... I got 1 of 5. Awful day.

Opposition did well not to cancel our game today despite the morning rain. Just shows what can be achieved with a bit of determination and a look at the forcast!
Waited a hour and a half for the pitch to dry out, as expected the pitch was very slow with low bounce with the odd one popping up.
After losing a big toss, we scored 250, managed a ugly 75. Bowled the opposition out for 40.

best tool for cricketers is will it rain today. its alive satellite feed of the rainfall so you can judge when its likely to stop. have used it this season to show to umpire2 who were about to call of games that it was going to stop raining any second.... 25 points in the bag
