Won yesterday opposition batted 1st  and were all out for 94 managed to knocked them off in 14 overs before the rain poured down. No contribution from me though caught in the gully of the last ball of a 13 ball 1st over.

We had what you could say a comfy win. We batted first and posted 474-5 from 50 overs. Oppo all out for 172. I mustered up a 2no and 1 wicket. That is a stark contrast to last week where we were 150 all out and one of our team getting 100no. We still have our 100% win record in the league.

Burdy I must admit that scorecard made me chuckle last night.

Do you have a link to the scorecard or a picture of it? Going at almost 10 an over for 50 is a great effort, if the opposition is of a good standard.

It worked. Looked normal, no doubles, but a nice 101 by the opening bowler. Vital 2no there, probably helping the bowler over the line.

I think I can top that. One of our players' brother played in this beauty yesterday... Some serious pad rash going on in that first innings!

Also, we won for the first time in 7 games! Got 230 batting first, my contribution a lovely 0*. Bowled them out for 162, bit more of a contribution this time though... 7-35! Second 7-fer of the season, and I'm not even the league's leading wicket-taker!

Draw yesterday, we got 220/7 off 52, they got about 190-something for 8 off 48. Personally had a pretty good time of it, 32* batting 8, went in with license, smashed the spinners a bit, got a nice big straight six, and then tried to work the seamers off their lengths. Slowed down off them, but managed an all run 4 for one of my team mates thanks to several overthrows. Opened up with my leggies, bowled 10 overs for about 25-30 and 1 wicket. Came back for 5 at the end, went for about 25 in them, ended 15-1-51-1. Wicket was a regulation leg break, drifted to about a foot off leg stump, turned and bounced, batter tried to leave but not quickly enough, little edge dragged on. Dropped catches at point and mid-wicket, one edge between slip and keeper, and quite a few that just missed the edge. Turned and bounced a lot, my flipper bounced to our keeper's shoulder height off a good length!

After 2 other players refused to do so I did my bit for the club and stepped up to the 2nds...got carted and got fired by the home umpire (Took about 15 seconds to make his mind up and had already starting getting ready to face the next ball) batting at 3 for a 4 ball duck. Middled the first 3 balls to mid off then got hit on the tap hat of the pad!  Mate who was umpiring at square leg couldnt believe it. Said it was going a foot over the top! so had a polite word straight after that it shouldn't have been out but obviously the choice was made by then.

Hopefully back in the 3rds next week where hopefully I wont get another bloody howler!!

3rd 50 in just over a week for me, need to start pushing on more though. Also 4 dismissals behind the stumps so a good day as we won

Err.  Bad day yesterday.

Got to game started to warm up and my legs just gave up. Joys of trying to return from illness.

Luckily we had 12. So sat out and watched.

Big win too. We out 174 for 7 on. Highest individual score only 33 so a team effort.
Then bowled them out for 64 inside 26 overs.

So yeah wasn't needed.

had a good friendly today. they hit 127 of their 30 overs. i took 1-6 off two overs. got smacked on the ankle fielding in close and got two fingers to a sharp catch which didnt stick but otherwise had a good day in the field.

opened the batting got dropped on 4, one of their old guys struggled to bend down that far. i went on to reach 50 and retire in the 10th over with the score on 78.

they were a good bunch of guys and offered to bowl the 30 overs so we could all get some batting practice
