you only bought it a few days ago.

nothing interesting to report recently except a fair few CA's off varying grades that seriously ping!!

infact all that have been middle in an aerial shot have gone for six
and even the edge i caught at third man would have been 6 had a not jumped ti catch it!!

Be interested to see one of those kippax tree trunks in the flesh - how did it play? Shortened blade right?

It was a cannon. Went really well. Dunno if it was shortened but it was huge

On my overseas trip to the Isle of Wight yet material there was a reasonable choice of kit on display.

Their overseas had full impulse gear
There was a Chase R11 custom
A FatBats (assuming bespoke)

One of our team had full spartan MP gear and another guy had a choice willow bat.

Apart from the shocking result today there were some lovely bats on show in the oppos team as I rarely ever see any forum brands in the midlands. A very nice looking Blank Bat seemed to go quite nicely when the lad used it. A B3 bespoke that a lad didn't do too much with. And the lad that got 55 had a lovely Laver Private Bin, big profile and he hit some well timed 6's rather than just using pure power, he also had an Ayrtek with the old pump system in.

Went to watch our 1st XI in the T20 cup competition today.

Our overseas player has a nice SF bat and a Shrey lid.

One of the oppo has an aero Hannibal lector/gimp mask for keeping

They had coloured pads to match their kit (green), mostly sports direct Slazenger ones but I did spot a pair of pro issue GN Oblivions too (I really need to get a life...)

Someone stop me from buying cricket bats please, I find myself looking at them on ebay and I can't let a bargain get away. I've got 3-4 bats as it is.

Stop tempting me to buy more!!!

Pics or it didn't happen...

Ones away to get oiled right now, ones a Kookaburra Bubble, one is a Spartan bat which I bought for £30 for wet weather as I don't want to ruin the Bubble or the one that's getting oiled in. My brother's friend is buying me one since he's an 'expert' in bats (hasn't arrived yet).

I'm currently eyeing up two on eBay right now and got outbidded last second on one today...

I'm addicted.

Played against Redbourn Saturday (whom which Gary who makes Choice willow bats Opens the batting for) Safe to say they were all Head to Toe in Choice willow Gear some of the bats really did fly.... And three of our team are currently using them which resulted in him apparently being fined for every run scored against there team with a bat that he made !!

We were 65 A.O so id imagine it was a cheap day for him.

I saw a Salix today that had at least 12 perfectly straight grains and was thinking that it must have cost a fortune, but then I noticed the CA branding on the side. Not sure how the bloke got hold of the stickers...

They do appear on eBay from time to time. Would love to know how people get hold of them!

If you are careful, you can take them off and put them on, with a bit of glue here and there.

For instance. Last night one of our lads was using a Nixon with genuine GM Octane stickers.

Bats worthy of note have been a bit thin on the ground over the last couple of weeks.  As more players make appearances for us there's a guy with a full set of Bradbury gear - softs look nice and his bat goes very well, a dynadrive.

Best sounding bats from the opposition I've herd was a Kook menace, which went very well for 40-odd not out and a 'seasoned pro' (being kind!) at the weekend was using a 90s Surridge bat that was in good nick and went well - the red and blue stickers looked great.  Shame he was a stroppy so and so - effing and jeffing at himself and us throughout his innings and at one of our players as he walked off, then kicked our scorers hut.  Scottish guy - clearly didn't like the latest independence referendum polls...
