Shocking, tragic and freak accident had taken the life of one of the games future stars. Thought Phil was gonna be a superstar the first time I saw him play. Taken far too soon. RIP little Phil 😭😭😭

The support needed and not be hounded by the media, I see there's already photo's of him leaving the hospital online!

It's going to be very tough for all the guys who knew and played with him to get back out there and play again.

Absolutely horrible.  I don't really get affected by this sort of stuff often but this one hit me hard.  He's about my age and someone I genuinely always looked out for as enjoyed watching.

Taken far too soon.  Forever 63*.

What gut-wrenching sad news.  Mere words can't convey the sadness I feel despite not even knowing him.  From a rather lowly Sunday Friendly village cricketer in the heart of Wiltshire, I can only offer this:

"Rest In Peace Phillip Hughes.  The world of cricket, from us lowly village sloggers upwards, truly mourns your loss".

To Sean Abbott.  My very best wishes and my thoughts go with you.
