I visited a batmaker who didn't claim to make for anyone then I saw the photos on the wall.....

If I ever take up bat making im putting a picture of the Don on my wall!

When I got my bespoke bat from millichamp and hall last year, Rob (bat maker) was making Nick Compton's bat and Trescothick's bat. Then he was just putting mongoose and gray nics stickers on for the two batsmen's sponsors. Suprise suprise that both of them play for Somerset and m&h is based at Taunton. Then after a lengthy conversation, he went on to say that he knew who makes Kp's bats. Unfortunately, he didn't tell me who it was.

They also have a signed bat from Justin Langer saying "thanks guys, best bat I've used", which is unbelievably grainy.

Still, I think they've finally pushed the prices too high, and I prefer their older branding.

I'm suprised he accepted sponsorship at as all Muslims believe in earning what they own.   alma pays for all his kit and pays castle lager (Sa sponsor) to not have the logo on his shirt as its against his beliefs.

Where is the evidence for such a statement?     'all as Muslims believe in earning what they own. ' ?.

Just because amla does something or not, so that means it applies to 1.2/3 billion Muslims?

What is wrong with sponsorship? Its just another ligit business transaction. As for the alcohol sponsor, that shows amla is conscious enough and stable enough to not promote alcohol. He doesn't need to and he respects his religious beliefs.  "As the harm (in alcohol) out weighs the good in it".  Al Quran.

Getting free stuff or having sponsorship has nothing to do with religion. nowhere in Islam states this.

I believe both cook and Bairstow will be using this style bats 2016 so could be either.



The bat Ali is pictured, due to the new edge branding rule, he can't use that in a match.

According to twitter Cook is going to be using the classic range
And I think Johnny B is using the either the GN500 or the classic range.

From that I'm guessing that's Captain Cook's bat.

As for Alex Hales, his pads are on the wrong legs!
