40 over friendly today
Opened and got a quick ish 30 and had to retire,,,new bats way too good for me,(cheers pal)

One of the oppo had a very very nice GM that was one big sweet spot, while his fellow opener had possibly the worst bat I've ever seen,,a dead old slazenger.

Picked up 3 wickets for 10 runs but was then bowled for just 1 run and we lost. We did get 75% thanks to a pair of juniors putting on over 40 for the 9th wicket so not a total blank.

Friendly against a fairly weak side. We scored 230 in 40 overs. I got 7* batting no. 7. Dropped a catch at slip. Dropped a catch at mid off, disappointing as my fielding Is usually good. Caught a catch at mid off.
Play poorly in friendlies, save the good stuff for the league. Fingers crossed.

Got a very mediocre 5.batting at 3. Toed one to mid off. Horrible feeling is I wasnt bothered when I was out. Which doesnt bode well. Playdd straight enough while I was there to be settled, but shocked at my lack of displeasure.

Took a wicket in my 2 over spell then out stumped by one of our win I thought I was in but he gave me a indifferent day we hit a draw in the end

Bowled 15 on the bounce 1-40, had 3 dropped catches. Played against a bunch of cheats essentially as well! They put on 123-9 off 45, we chased it down in 29 overs

Friendly today and we won. We got a par/under par 149-8 off 40 overs, having been 76-1 off 20. Chris (Maverick) scored 11 and Redders 24, I chipped in with 4*. They lost 2 wickets in the first over and never really recovered, bowling them out for 97. Redders picked up a wicket and I picked 3.

From a team view  not a great weekend, coming in with 2 losses, one friday for my college side against clifton college, and then one saturday and inter club friendly (1s vs 2s basically). Skippering my college side it would have been nice to get preseason off  to a winning start however there were many positives and it was a good days cricket, Today was just a bit of fun, playing against our 1s, and in the end we ran them pretty close but couldnt close it out. However on a personal note, I have hit 125 runs in my first 2 innings, 68 friday and 57 saturday, felt awesome timed the ball really nicely, and found the middle  with pretty much every shot. Pretty pleased with an average of 62.5 for the season so far!

Practice 20-20 match, opened and hit clean but got run out cheaply. Running between the wicket and calls is very rusty. Shot timing was fine.

Made 42 today came in at 3 after our opener was out first ball. Felt great hit 2 big 6s old faithful m&h solution still going strong (new H4L will have to wait I think) got out by playing on which was frustrating- but still only preseason
