Why are you missing 3 weeks?

No game last week, and now told I'm unable to play for 2 weeks as I've got stitches in  :(

Playing against the team I train with during the week on Saturday. Always a good game and a good slurp afterwards. Cup game on Sunday, may limit myself to a dozen ales or so just to be safe.

Nice idea but league rules state you can only be signed for  one club.

plenty of leagues within 30 mins of you buddy :)  That isn't an issue. tongue in cheek of course, however I am surprised that some clubs (whether they have such poor facilities, join leagues at teh bottom just to thrash people or are just very very horrible people to play) aren't just subjected to winning games by walkover and I reckon, within 2-3 seasons after playing zero cricket but being promoted 3 leagues they'd soon sort their acts out

Not sure but I don't think you can play in a different league when registered with another.
The only other leagues close to Stourbridge that I am aware of is the South Staffs and Birmingham League.
Believe You are right regarding clubs coming into our division to thrash other clubs

Of course you can. All the people coming back from Uni can do it, so why can't you?  ;)

Had a look in the league handbook and it looks  as if to move clubs or leagues you would need a transfer.

Played at Harborne a couple of years ago (1st team in the Brum League) although their first XI pitch is only junior sized. The pitch next door looked horrific if that's where you are playing?

pretty sure if you play in the northants leagues say, then play in the gloucestershire league you are fine. You couldn't go from glos league to wepl etc.. too close. but you could go from worcestershire to gloucestershire for instance.

Lucky you I have been told we are playing where there is no facilities at all. The home team set up a couple of gazebos and you use the hedge for you know what. Mind you it is pouring down here so it may be our first postponed game of the season. Anxious wait in the morning.
